I’m really proud of the way the bench has handle the last 2 4th quarters without harden or Paul on the floor....
The Rockets have hit 60 wins in a Very Boring Game™ Glad to see Mr. Chee get some minutes and showcase his length. Also, Harden had a triple double? MVP
From a Hawks fan's perspective... Watching Harden tonight made me really covetous of a big ballhandler who can run an offense A guy like that initiating the offense is such a scheme breaker. I really hope we can get Doncic in this draft since he’s the closest thing within our reach to this sort of player. And the NBA is all about these types of players now. If Luka is available, grab him and let he and Collins get PNR buckets together and surround them with shooters without a conscious a la Houston and baby you got a stew going. I honestly love watching the Rockets play futuristic basketball. Everyone talks about how they only shoot a three or inside the paint, but you have to watch them to see it for yourself. Also, for me it’s interesting seeing how different they are from the Warriors or the prime Spurs. They exclusively run PNR with either Harden or CP3 as the ballhandler and it’s just endless kick outs or drives. Whenever anyone is open behind the arc, they take it; no indecisiveness or looking for a better shot. Contrast that with the Warriors/Spurs who move the ball around a lot and generate a ton of assets spread across the entire rotation, similar to how we play on offense under Bud. I wonder if we’ll ever get to the point where we consider going with the Morey approach and forgo pure ball movement in favor of maximum efficiency. It’s just a barrage of math on offense. You have to have the personnel obviously, but it goes to show that you don’t necessarily need to have four of the top fifteen players in the league to win 70 games if you follow the right script.
He has been hit on his shooting hand a couple of times. This hasn't stopped him from making big shots in the clutch. He will crank it up in the playoffs. He is hungry to win.
