Unfortunately they still won last night and their cupcake schedule the rest of the way doesn't help us.
They still have plenty of tough games left: SAC @phx @sas ATL UTH IND MIL @SAC PHX @OKC @IND NOP @phx @UTH 8 of those remaining 14 are games they could lose, even with everyone in uniform. At the Spurs will be tough and we know they'll be without Curry and Thompson. Home against Utah, Indiana, and Milwaukee won't be easy. At OKC and Indiana will be brutal. Don't look now, but the Pacers are 3rd in East. They're no joke. Then home for the Pelicans who are better on the road(21-14) than in New Orleans(18-14) if you can believe that. Then at Utah to end the regular season. The Warriors with everyone healthy lost by 30 there earlier in the year. If the Rockets aren't derailed by injuries and don't go 0-3 on this upcoming road trip, they shouldn't lose more than maybe 4 times the rest of the way. That means the Warriors would have to go 13-1 the rest of the way.
Excellent post! Because of the Rockets tougher schedule and the Warriors easier schedule (even with their injuries) I would feel a lot better at securing that #1 seed with another GSW loss. FU Lakers. Hopefully the Spurs can get them on Monday. Can we hope the Kings put up a spirited A+ effort against the Warriors in the next game? I don't have faith the Suns can do anything. I don't see GSW losing too many games because of their weak schedule...even with injuries. So if GSW loses another game and thus finishes 13-1 that puts the Rockets at 11-4 to finish to obtain #1.
Honestly the Rockets are better than any team they will face from today until the WCF - Just keep beating the teams you should (which is all of them) and the schedule don't matter.
He Deuce, I think you mean 11-3. Only 14 games left and 4 losses would put us a game back even after a GS loss.
GSW has Green and Iggy back. And I think West is probable. Still, no Curry, Thompson and KD. C'mon Kings!
Alright Clutchfans members, is time to come clean, which one of you guys have sold your soul to the devil?
Gud gud. Now we just need Raptors to lose some games. They bout to lose to the lowly Mavs as we speak. Life is gud
