i think back to the 20 point lead blown in boston. harden gets frustrated at the end of the game and pushes marcus smart twice for 2 offensive fouls just trying to get free for the inbound pass. if cp3 were in there getting open for the inbound pass those 2 turnovers never happen. its those frustration plays that harden loses his head and cp3 never does. with cp3 we win that boston game.

CP3’s bball IQ is his singular most important talent.

The big thing for me, is when we just need to break an opponents scoring run and struggling, he seems to be able to work his way into the top of the paint and find 2 points anytime we need it just to get back on track.

Am I the only one that feels like those always have gone in every time?

It's the same way CP3 always tries to draw a foul when the other team is in the penalty. It seems like a throw-away play, but CP3 hunts for those precious 2 points because it is there for the taking.

Teams know when the other team is in the penalty, but they usually just start getting more aggressive going to the basket, CP3 draws a cheap foul on the perimeter.

I have never seen another player deliberately get a foul like that.

    OP's hypothesis might seem far-fetched, but I wouldn't put it passed CP3.

Just glad he's on our team. Otherwise we'd be blowing up about what a cheating, thieving sod he is :)

I believe we will lose to the Warriors, mostly because this group of Rockets hasn't been at that threshold before. Unless, in those do-or-die moments, Chris Paul looks into the eyes of his teammates and somehow convinces them that he knows the series is ours.

CP3 probably has the highest IQ int he game but Harden is not far behind. And Cp3 knows that and that is why he came to Houston when Harden asked him.

    Real meet real.

You know who has a low BBall IQ? Jerry Lin and Rusty Westbrook

Death, Taxes and CP exploiting the 2 shot penalty late in the quarters. I laugh every time. So smart.

yep who would have thought that adding a 2nd superstar/elite high bball IQ playmaker would take this team toe-to-toe with GSW

Chris Paul's leadership and basketball IQ are off the charts. You can see his impact on the team whether he's in playing or not. The way we're playing defense isn't just because of Morey's other excellent additions, in my opinion. You can certainly see it in the way Harden is playing defense. He no longer takes plays off the way he used to, only turning it up from time to time. It isn't just because of the coaching staff. It is, more than anything, in my opinion, the presence and influence of Chris Paul. I can't think of a better backcourt mate for James.

What a coup by Daryl Morey to get the guy. It's changed this team in ways I wouldn't have imagined possible in such a short time and the league has noticed. You can see it in the whining of Steve "the Aw Shucks *******" Kerr. He's deeply worried and he should be. Well, he can suck on his worrying and I hope he chokes.
