Looking for some bomb ass Chinese BBQ Roast Duck and Pork for Chinese New Year. Ya'll know? In the H of course.
I am a big fan of the BBQ stuff at Sinh Sinh. Hong Kong cafe has very good duck and char siu pork, but I don't think they have the crispy skin roast pork.
If we are already in the area and want to get a whole duck to take home, my wife likes to go to Dac Hung BBQ on Bellaire and Cook outside the Beltway https://yelp.to/o3iIOyxFyK I'm not overly picky, but she is and claims it's better than most places in town
this place and Sinh Sinh that @jchu14 mention. My father in law brought roast baby pig leftovers from his friend's party and the pig skin was still crispy even hours afterwards. That crispy skin is like crack.
I wanna know what they put in that black sauce they give you? That black sauce is like the best part. Dip that **** in there and MMMMMMMM GOOOOD!
Holy crap, I didn't know they sold a whole crispy pig. Found this on their Yelp page I wonder how much this would cost
It goes by per lb but just eye balling it it's probably like 250. The whole roasted pig needs to be ordered in advance
I believe its just the drippings that come off the duck when being cooked. I also give a vote to Sinh sinh for duck and pork. Hong Kong Cafe has some bomb ass chicken. I dont know how they boil that chicken but its tasty.
There’s this awesome grocery store (you can hardly call it that since it’s always half empty) that’s like Vietnamese/Chinese or something? Not sure. I ended up there one day while buying some vermicelli. Anyway they have this amazing lunch in a tiny section of the store. BBQ duck and a few other things. Not one person working there speaks English. But it was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. I even went back a few times. Now I can’t remember what the hell it was or even the exact street it’s on. It’s on like the east side of downtown east of 59 ramp maybe in the bbva vicinity? I have no clue. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
I know what you are talking about. Its a grocery store called Long Sing and its funny because people that come there don't buy groceries. Their chinese bbq is amazing and decently priced but that place closed down back in Nov 2017.
The older couple that does not speak any English besides the words chicken, duck, pork retired but the owner's kids mention they plan to maybe open at a different part of town. I remember they are usually busy during lunch time
It depends on the poundage we get them every year for our restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year. We got 2 this year 25 lbsers for around 125 dollars.
I think she’s right. My mom orders the roast pork and I favor it better from other places because it just seems crispier.
