Hmmm I didnt notice his thread but upon further inspection I see that both threads were posted 12 min ago.
Its not a great signing to many people because its not a big name. Its a very good signing though. Don't underestimate it.
Anderson Ariza Black Brown(2-way) Capela Gordon Green Harden Hunter(2-way) Mbah a Moute Nene Onuaku Paul Qi Tucker Williams + Wright (makes 15) Bima said on the podcast they aren't gonna pay the LT this year. Black is on a one-year deal so as Ben explains, they could conceivably cut Black for one more signing. Everyone else has a guaranteed deal for next year & would be dead money(/money against their cap next year). And no, cutting Hunter or Brown doesn't open a roster spot.
This is a great signing. He can run the floor and gives us a big man who can make difficult catches in the lane and finish reasonably well. Capela is the only big capable of this right now as Nene has been struggling to finish this year in ways he was not last season.
Although it doesn't mean much, this dude has a 20.3 career PER, which ranks 21st among active players. His play style is very much like Capella, efficient finisher near the rim, decent rim protector and offensive rebounder, in limited minutes.
