Remember that time Bazz was a free agent and sat on the market for months, only to re-sign with the Wolves on a vet. minimum deal? Good times. Muhammad re-signed with the Timberwolves last offseason with hopes of a substantial bench role, only to find Thibodeau reverting to the longstanding practices of shorter bench rotations and heavy starter minutes that became a staple of his five years as Chicago Bulls coach. Another player who signed with the Timberwolves as a free agent last summer, Jamal Crawford, has publicly expressed some surprise at the limited minutes he's played this season, especially based upon his conversations with the organization before committing to a two-year deal.
Thibbs running his prized players into the ground as usual. KaT and Wiggins about to become Joakim Noah and Deng 2.0
Thats just temporary and short term success. 5 years later both KaT and Wiggins will be broken down due to injuries.
i play my star players 48 mins to stat pad on 2k, but they keep getting injured. this realistic thing is teh bullpoop.
Thib's style reminds me of JVG's. A lot of emphasis on defensive plays/effort but not as creative on offense. That team has a good combination of talent, youth and vets. Hopefully they continue to not figure it out, cause I'm sure the Rockets could use one of their vets or two for cheap.
You can make a argument JVG ran Yao's career into the ground. Thibbs & JVG are cut from the same cloth
From an ear: The Twolves locker room is similar to what Thibs was like during his time in Chicago. Of course, JimmyB is fine with all of it, but for vets and rooks who are not used to the practices and coaching style, the distribution of minutes is difficult. Baz' isn't the only unhappy camper, regardless of their record.
