The game plan was when Leslie Alexander got together with the Spur's Owner and agreed to forfeit the Rockets Post Season run. The debacle that was game 6 is not hard to figure out when you go back and look at the footage.

 

The 'lazy' stereotype of Harden comes from his lack of speed and athleticism - and hence his poor defensive performance - on the court. I for one never believed Harden didn't take basketball seriously, but it's his overall body language on the court that rubs some people the wrong way. Even some delusional homers push this narrative to rationalize Harden's sluggish appearance, as if he doesn't care, and if he only start to care more Harden would look like Westbrook. No he does care, but Harden just doesn't have enough hops and quickness to give off the impression of a hard worker.

This is not to excuse Harden from his sluggishness on the court, because in some sense it's more damning to suggest that Harden is physically limited as an athlete. It is just what it is.

 

But I was told by Clutchfans that the whole reason they cancelled shootaround in the first place was so Harden could maintain his strict party routine. I'm not sure what to believe.

The day after this article and the article about Morey saying Rockets are obsessed with GSW, we seem to fall apart.

I love Morey's work as GM. Sometimes, it is better to keep one's trap shut until proven. Sure, when the Barkleys and BSPN of the world keep trolling Rockets nation, then we defend ourselves. This talk we are gunning for GS and no one else is trash and bulletin board material for teams. Once the hardware is secured, let's shout it to the mountain top. Until then, shut up and get busy.

The idea that harden is lazy has always been funny. He loves to hoop.

What I do think and I know I'll get flamed for it, is that he's a front runner. What I mean is when we're up and things are going good he's playing d and going hard, but when adversity strikes he's not really the same guy. Doesn't mean that's not my guy, just my opinion
