That's because there *isn't* a sense of urgency. They are tied for the best record in the West. Acting like there is a sense of urgency is the boy that cried wolf - when there actually is some urgency, players will be tuned out. You see this with the Spurs, Cavs, and Warriors (not coincidentally, the best teams in the NBA the last several years) - health and rest and managing players is far more important than winning every game.

Or, closer to home, look at the Astros. Midseason, the Astros didn't give a f***. They made up fake injuries to give people rest. They started a bunch of scrubs. If they were behind around the 5th or 6th inning, they threw out minor league relievers to keep their big guns fresh. They had a horrible couple of months and lost the #1 seed. And then they won a title.

Bottom line: when there are 82 or 162 games in a season and you're really good, each individual game is simply not that urgent, and smart teams aren't going to treat them that way to avoid burning out their players.

Im not a fan of big 50 pt games from james. This means we sacrifice a lot of our pace and the speed we want to play. It also takes away some rythm from our players. That being said. Once young fella comes back, we'll be all good.

Am i wrong to believe that the next time we play the LA teams, we are gonna wax them. Im sure coaching staff and the players will have extra motivation.

With CP3 out --- What does our offense look like or work when Harden sleeps?

Without Capela - - Once Harden or CP3 break down their man .. . . . The Rim Protector can stay home without NeNe or Black being a threat
--- which means that the other defenders can stay with the shooters.

Can we not see how the offense is severely hurt by these players being out
It changes our whole offensive schemes

    Same with the Defense
