I hope so. I'd prefer OBrien go to a division or conference rival

Keenums done alright for himself. Fitzpatrick was putting up similar td and int percentages for the Jets against competition that was better than the AFC south, and hoyer was broken from a bum playoff performance. These guys were all punts at the position and ultimately replaceable. The only time those teams put up 30 pts were against the AFC south and the raiders.

If you fired the head coach and general manager, their replacements would be as bad if not worse. Texans fans are ****ed as long as Bob McNair is in charge. If owners were tested, is there any doubt he'd have the worst Wonderlic score? He's probably the dumbest person to ever own a major American sports franchise.

Another clunker ... usually served 3 times per year under Billy. ;)

    48-21 to Atlanta ... 44-26 to Miami ... 27-6 to New England ... 30-0 to Kansas City

27-0 to New England ... 27-9 to Denver ... 34-16 to New England

    29-7 to Jacksonville ... 33-7 to Los Angeles ... 45-7 to Jacksonville

    He'll always have 57-14 though!

I don’t know what good firing obrien would do. It’s not like any other coach would do any better with this roster, injuries and and 3rd string qb.

We’ve seen what he can do with Watson. Firing obrien would be a detriment to Watson’s development. I hope he gets another chance.

McNair has always been a patient and rational man, but over the years, he’s acted less like himself and more like Jerry Jones, but I hope he doesn’t fire obrien.

A new coach would build a better roster. Remember all the talent Kubiak found? Foster, DeAndre, the OL, Owen Daniels, etc. He even got something out of guys like Ben Tate.

O'Brien simply doesn't have the eye for talent. He just trades a bunch of picks and overpays for Lamar Miller then runs him up the middle.

Isn’t the roster Rick Smiths responsibility too?

BOB is a coveted coach, let's trade him and get some picks back. CLE for our 2nd works!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if BOB goes somewhere else and wins a super bowl. Any coach that wins here in Houston will have to overcome the Rick Smith deficit.

You mean like how Kubiak won a superbowl with a quarterback he rejected coming to Houston?

You are right. . . Rick should have grew some balls and told Kubiak 'F U! we getting Payton Manning
and you going to deal with it!!"

    Twice a year. Enjoy, Houston.

    He will.

The NFL knows O'Brien is a good coach. There are 6/8 teams who will snatch him up before his feet even touch the ground. Only Houston is ignorant of this.

Just like Houston thought Brock Osweiler was good, when the rest of the NFL was telling you he was a backup and a diva.

Kubiak won a Super Bowl after getting away from Rick McNair.

    That speaks volumes.

Yes, but we would still have the same problem as before. McNair needs to fix his dysfunctional front office and coaching dynamic. Otherwise the results will likely remain the same.
