Last year, this place was "The Boki Fan Club". Now that he is getting meaningful minutes, what do you think of him now? I think he is showing he can play, but I am not sure if this offense fits him. Seems he is better as slashing to the goal than long range jumpers. With the lack of motion in our offense, that is going to be hard for him to slash. I think he is a player, not a great player, but a good contributor and seems to be getting better on the defensive side of the court.
I still think he is pretty clueless out there. How on earth did he get 5 fouls in the limited time he played? He was also way off on his shot. He did have a nice drive though.
Defense is better than most here expected. Offense is still not consistent. Goes for rebounds fairly well. Hustles more than half of the team does. So far, so good. He will get better, book it.
With more PT, I think he'll find himself. He's smooth the ball, has a good shot, just seems hesitant when he gets the ball. Defensivelly, he's a little less than average. Evan
Disappointed in his outside shooting. More disappointed in his drive "finishing". Needs confidence. Needs to be more agressive offensively. Like his hustle and is a good team guy. The bottom line is this really is his "first" year in the NBA so he is still learning the style of play in the NBA. Give him some more time to develop.
bOki is an allstar in the making He needs more confidence and gets more comfortable out there, which should come from more consistent pt. Too bad he probably won't get it this year, unless someone got injuried.
Comments like that will get you moved to the Francis for Ginobli thread... The Jazz rookie in one quarter did more than Pokimon did in all of his career...
In all seriousness though, Boki will get better. He's tradeable, but I think the Rockets would regret seeing him go to another team three or four years down the line. He needs to get a haircut though. That Prince Charming bowl-cut makes him look 12.
You know you can be accused of being a jazz FAN with comment like this As for bOki, talk to me in 2 years, you will have changed your mind then
Jazz fan? Arrrrrrdghhh.... Facts are facts though, and it is true, Boki hasn't done anything to prove otherwise... unfortunately....
this hasn't been mentioned, Out of the 5 turnovers, 3 of them was absolutely boneheaded... Another foul he made was away from the play, when rockets already had grabbed a defensive rebound...he basically threw AK out of bads...what a stupid play
He needs to be more aware of the shot clock on defense, and he needs to learn when he should defend and when he should commit a hard foul. These are just a few of the 'smarts' that JVG is always blabbering about.
