Easy to see and lively crowd. I will probably be going tonight. I went against Boston.

Jesus... every time I get my heart rate to return to a normal level, I remember again that the Astros are playing to win the whole damn thing tonight. THE ASTROS.

Good luck to us all tonight...

This experience has made me realize how hard winning the WS really is for any team. I will be praying to 6 month, little infant Jesus, that our deserving team finishes the job tonight, or tomorrow (preferably tonight).

And as much as I want them to win because I am a fan, I want them to do it more so for my uncle and dad, and for every other "old timer" who has suffered through all the heartbreak this franchise has served up over the years.

    Time to exercise the demons!

MMP was open for the Yankees series too haha... I don't think everyone enjoyed that as much.

OK. Verlander is 0-3 in World Series games with a 6.43 ERA (that includes this year). His career ERA is 3.46. He pitches 9 tonight and gives up NO RUNS then his ERA will drop to 4.50. SO. Math and the law of averages say RING TIME.

I think I'm more nervous for this Game 6 than I was for Game 6 in the Yankees series when we were facing elimination.

Ok, I finally got the results I wanted from our five epic home runs by picking the right variables from https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_search .

The best way I could get this all on the screen was to save it as an image.

Look at the scorching ball Springer hit and that insane mortar shot launch angle Correa had.

If Gurreil continues his unslaught, no way he's allowed winning MVP, right?
    Yeah, Correa's apex was 169'.

It was basically a long pop-fly for a HR.

So everyone is pre-accepting 6 IP 3 ERs 2 HITS from JV tonight, right?

How about 8 IP 4 ERs 3 Hits?

So, this article, from the L.A. Times no less (props where props are due), completely nails it on the whole Yuli "debacle." The author explains the cultural background of it, Yuli apologizes, Darvish is not offended. It's all in there.

    ---

Given that it's been extremely hard to figure out who might be an MVP for this World Series (if we win) and given the idiocy of the media, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Yuli go bonkers tonight and end up having to be named the WS MVP. His performance is certainly in the mix already, and it would just be so wonderful to have them have to name him MVP after this stupid media shitstorm. Furthermore, Judge is going to win Rookie of the Year, and Altuve is going to be MVP of the year, but it would be damn awesome to see the 33-year-old RoY contender get WS MVP.
