Does anyone remember that quote where Yao said "No, then I would be 8 foot 6"

    ...or something like that. I do remember that someone reported/translated an interview here where some female reporter supposedly asked Yao Ming "Are you really proportionate everywhere?" and he supposedly caught what she was asking about and grinned and said "No, then I would be 8 foot 6" (or something like that)...

    It's really not important to anything, I just thought it was funny at the time and if someone can find the thread or the interview somewhere on the Internet - or even just confirm that that was posted here, I would appreciate it.

    I just asked because I made a silly drunken reference to that yesterday in chat (said something like "Anna K. is just here to check if Yao is proportioned") and got booted for the rest of the game :D. Someone would not believe me when I said that I was referring to an actual (at least reported) quote :).

    Oh man, I just realized that I didn't even log in when I went to bbs.clutchcity.net in this Internet Cafe in Barcelona/Spain!!!!!
