Knicks, Rockets working on Carmelo Anthony trade scenarios

I still think a Melo to Rockets deal goes down but after someone else in the trade gets a large installment payment that keeps the player's next team from having to pay the full salary----for example, if Ryan Anderson gets paid half his salary right before training camp. A day later, good-bye.

you're free to think you're right at this time if that makes you feel better

but the fact is nobody's right at this time. it's because of the 3 deadlines, none of it has passed yet

facts:
Melo does not want to stay in NYC
Melo has an NTC which he only opens up for Houston
RA is a solid stretch 4. he may be overpaid, but almost everyteam has as equal or vastly overpaid player relative to their true value.
Morey will not overpay
NYC pretty much has gone youth mode and moved on from Melo saga if you look at their website, pressers, promo, marketing

the knicks may not want RA but it doesn't look like nobady wants him. other teams just hesitating to be a party in adding Melo to Harden and CP3

I think Knicks will end up getting pkg from a the rockets/3rd/4th team

but if they do get RA, I assure you he's not the worst and untradeable asset they have

and nobody cares what Melo's value from other teams is. Because he has an NTC that he won't waive if not the Rockets

so at the end of the day
Rockets have Melo, his NTC, Morey, Harden & CP3 on their side

you have NYC org which either trashed Melo or did nothing while Melo was trashed, NYC org who wasted Melo's prime, NYC org who is all but ready to go full youth mode and move on from Melo, and your rumours about Lala on your side

I see where the misunderstanding went.
I do think the educated guess is he stays in NY. I see why you thought I was saying otherwise cuz I made the two observations in the same post, but what I meant by it is because New York aren't going to budge on the Ryan Anderson thing, they won't deal with us (yes it's still just my opinion). And I added on top of that I could see Melo making good with Lala and his fam a top priority so since he can't get to Houston he'd opt to stay in NY. Again, this isn't fact. But it's not far out

I repeat, since you'd rather argue more than anything, I don't believe Melo doesn't want to come to Houston because of Lala. My belief this whole time is that we just can't make a trade work with the assets we're willing to give up. Ryno is the last thing New York wants, and any pieces a third team is willing to give up in place of Ryno is not going to satisfy New York. I don't see how this isn't viewed to be the most likely thing occurring right now
