33 isn't old. Hell Melo should be fine until he's around 36.

Doesn't this support the view that the 1st round pick isn't worth much. If the worth of the pick was essentially to keep the Rockets over the cap then they basically traded it for PJ Tucker and some additional flexibility to take on more salary. If Morey deemed Tucker and perhaps additional depth as worthy of our 1st then surely it wouldn't stand in the way of us looking to get Melo.

The only downside is if the 2020 pick is unprotected and the team sucks in 2 years then the Knicks may get a lottery pick. But these days all picks traded have major protections anyway. And as long as Harden is around we're very unlikely to suck in consecutive years.

And seemingly no one will let the man live this down. He played poorly in the playoffs. Get over it. He was great for the Rockets in the regular season and had a lousy playoffs. That's it. To overlook his contributions in the regular season is so, so ... CF.

A big part of his lousy playoffs performance was actually against OKC. He was decent against the Spurs actually. If he can fix his issues shooting at Toyota Center however, he can easily turn things around next season.

I think this is right. Its not (entirely) up to the Rockets.

I hope Melo goes to the press soon. Remind everyone (and drop new details) about how Jackson and th organization of treated them lately. Despite his faults, Anthony was very loyal to New York for a very long time.

Then bring up the fact that he was told he was going to be traded to Houston.

Then point out insanity of the Hardaway deal.

    That should be enough.

There's a reason why he shot so poorly in the playoffs.

The reality is Anderson could not adjust to the increased intensity of playoff defense.

They chased him off the 3 point line and forced him to take tough, contested 3s.

He'll go back to shooting 40% from 3 in the regular season and then go back to shooting 28% in the playoffs.

It's pretty easy to take a one dimensional 3 point shooter like Anderson out of the game. All they have to is play tight defense and force him to drive to the basket, which is not his game.

Don't waste your time. People like to create reasons for sample size static.

We can't really blame Anderson completely. With Nene out, Anderson was pushed to the 5 on many occasions. Capella had foul problems and couldn't play starter minutes. I would be okay with keeping Anderson as I think he'll have a great season.

The longer this goes on without anything new developing such as melo adding a new team or agreeing tomstay in ny the higher the chance he ends up a rocket.

    Anderson sucks

His defense is atrocious and because his offense is so 'hot and cold' it fails to compensate for his slow motion speed and crap defense.

    We have to unload him.

so what. its well known what happened in that game. but i guess for the sake of supporting the agenda it starts and ends with just him. Ryno kept the rockets in game during game 2 when nobody else could get anything going and they eventually got blown out in the 4th quarter but you don't see me using your logic because it's not just about him. of course you wouldn't be one to acknowledge that either and you probably had no idea bc it doesn't go along with the agenda
