I think it would be a Win for the knicks org to point the PR blame back at melo...

A better move would be to show up to camp and constantly be a distraction by answering questions of are you happy? And other stuff with "I was told a deal was done and I'm still here, what do you think?" He also needs to take all the shots and play hero ball while missing assignments and being completely disengaged. That would get him traded quickly.

Maybe someone should make this a website. Very much like "SaveourRockets" years ago. The Knicks probably think the situation is making them look good in front of Knicks fans as in they just won't take garbage. With Kyrie saying he wants to go to Ny that also throws a wrench in our plans as it totally kills the notion that big name free agents will never want to play with Knicks. There has to be some sort of incentive for NY to give us Melo besides Ipads, Ryan Anderson and scraps.

Basically Melo was told he was going to get traded to the Rockets before they got the new GM. They dont like the deal being offered. Best case for them would be Melo waiving NTC.

This trade is as dead as it gets. CF needs to move on.

No.. just not delusional like you. Morey isn't giving a fair return for Melo so there's no trade to be had. No one has leverage. It's a stalemate. If Morey budges by giving more than Anderson it would be at the detriment of the team. The Rockets staying pact is the best scenario at this point. The fact that CF thinks NYK of all teams will go out there way to show Melo and the Rockets that much goodwill at the detriment of their team is ridiculous. It's a billion dollar business. Not Franchise mode on 2K.

The Knicks are an A$$hole organization from the owner down to mgmt. It is pathetic. My dog could run that team much better and would do so for dog treats and minor cash considerations.

The NTC that the Knicks gave Melo pretty much has removed all leverage from NY. They are just not ready to accept reality yet. They drove down Melo's value, and now have delusions of getting back the world for him. What a joke.

No matter what happens the Knicks will lose. They are trash and will always remain a joke of a franchise

    Delusional was a bit harsh.

No body wants goodwill. The Knicks told him they would trade him to the Rockets. They told other players he was traded. Going against your word means you can't be trusted. Hard to run a business if people can not take you at your word.

Negotiations change, I get it. Your stalemate comment is true. NYK wants more, Rockets do not want to give. Time can build pressure to change. Let's see.

Why would the Knicks tell Melo and other players that he'll be traded to Houston before having a deal that they liked? The incompetence....

My uninformed hypothesis - they had a deal they were OK with. They brought it to Dolan for sign-off. Dolan was on-stage playing a really bad saxophone blues set and stoned out of his mind. He just screamed down "F** 'melo, he ain't going anywhere." The crowd cheered, and now that is official team policy.
