Ramona on SC & in this story says nothing close, Rockets don't have the assets, Knicks want players 25 & under. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...vid-griffin-progressing-contract-negotiations The Knicks want to make a commitment to going young, transforming the roster to players in the 25-and-younger range. New York says it wants to build around 7-foot-3 Kristaps Porzingis, and continues to say it wants to move eight-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony in a trade. Anthony is willing to waive his no-trade clause for Houston and Cleveland now, league sources said, but there's yet to be a mechanism that allows those teams to give New York the young assets it wants for a trade.
Would think that would be good news lolol Why would he want to help the team who just fired him?? This would be the great stick it to him moment for Griffin lol
That guy Ramona is dumb. Based on what we've heard from Patato Head we weren't giving them anyone over 25 anyway. A 3rd team was
no ofc it's bad news. Griffin isn't an idiot out of touch like Mills. He's also new to the environment. I can't see Griffin trading Melo a good player, for negative value contracts. He will tell Melo to stfu and go do his work rather than take creepling contracts like Leonard or Anderson.
Well potato head "broke" the news that melo is coming and woj says we are in talks for melo but other than that not much homie. I just walked out of wonder woman 2/3rds through hopung that id come back to news lol. Was kinda boring. My friend who plays drums is cominf over to jam tommorow so hopefully i stay busy all day and see breaking news when i log back in lol
The Knicks have to get rid of Melo, period. That relationship is over and the situation is toxic. The Knicks are going young, they have no use for an old ass Melo.
Exactly. They are already down to 2 options to trade Melo, if they dick around too long, it could get down to 1 or even 0. They can talk a big game, but they are beggars here.
Griffin isn't the GM of the Knicks yet. Still possible Melo is moved before he's even offered the job.
Yeah still possible. The possibility of it has just gone down 90% than it was tho. As about who makes the decisions that's Dolan and Dolan fired Phil because he was about to buyout Melo.
If it were the Lakers I'm sure Ramona would be slamming a bucket of chicken skin demanding what the freaking home up is and to trade him to the damn Lakers already.
