I know you don't. All I was saying I shouldn't hope and pray that someone gets injured either. Which I'd never pray for anyone to get injured. Being a coach myself, I enjoy the purest competition possible

please tell me I don't need to explain the differences in Ty Lawson's disaster of an exit from Denver, and Shumpert's current top of the world situation in Cleveland.

    Thank you.

This was my understanding, but I've seen so many people refer to our non-guaranteed contracts and "the TPE" as separate entities that I wasn't 100% sure anymore.

The Anderson contract is currently a liability, not an asset.

So, this trade may hinge on Shumpert letting go of player option in the final year of his contract. That could very well be a deal breaker having observed how Morey operated over the years.

Agreed it is total liability. But so are rentals! Which is another reason why would okc take on a liability when they could get better value from other teams

What FAs are signing in OKC? They also will need shooting for Russ after he finishes freezing PG out

Here's a chart of our cap-clearing potential of the 4 NGs contracts who can be combined in a single trade.

    NG Salaries
    ----------------
    $1,577,230 for Kelly
    $1,312,611 for Taylor
    $1,312,611 for Long
    $1,312,611 for Quarterman
    ------------------
    = $5,515,063 in NG Salaries
X 175% + $100k in salary matching buffer (per the CBA rules)
    -------------------
    =$9,751,360 in Trade Value

The $9.75m is what we can clear off of someone's books (like a TPE), if the other teams trades for and immediately cut all those players.

If we combined these with guaranteed contracts, we have even more salary matching potential (as Bima says by combining Onuaku). Onuaku adds more to get to where Bima comes up with the "Just a little over $11.8m." We can also combine Ryno. But just the $9.75m is the trade value that the other team can immediately cut for immediate salary cap savings.

The new so far is still in the "serious talks" stage, not completed deal. So, my question is who decided to let Woj know this has been going on? We know that the Rockets are capable of hiding a trade talk (a much more important one at that with Chris Paul) until completion.

Definitely the Rockets floating this out there so their other options know about it.

Suns have opened for businness and taking bad contracts and moving vets.
But I can't see them taking Anderson without serious compensation. Teams will be lining up to unload bad contracts there.

Well yeah, I mean there's "bad contracts" and then there's Ryan Anderson kinds of bad contracts. They are looking for just regular level bad contracts.
