I wish we had the warriors wearing rocket red. It would be awesome. The city really deserves 1 team like the warriors. Who knows? Go Stros!!!!
Happy to say I didn't watch a single second of this game. I still don't know what's the final score. #nocare
i haven't watched a single playoff game other the rockets this year. zero interest in seeing warriors play in the final again.
Yawn. Any Houstonian's who are watching this crap over the glorious juggernaut that is the Houston Astros should be ashamed of themselves.
This is what the NBA is setting up. Fans just giving up and saying oh well..Warriors are unstoppable. Building up an impossible story for LeBron's GOAT legacy under Silver when "he" beats the Warriors as if LeBron didn't have his own ridiculously stacked team. That's already been forgotten as well..that LeBron is just a mercenary ring chaser himself. But, now he's apparently the good guy vs evil super powers.
Sorry, but at this point, Lebron IS the good guy and has a far better narrative than a 73 win team picking up a perennial MVP candidate in KD. Is Lebron's team stacked? Sure, but there's a reason why everyone and their grandmothers think GSW will handle them out in a 7 game series.
see.....just a "chance" that 3 stars and 2 former all stars and a SMOTY and a top offensive rebounder and other solid role players is just a "chance." Everyone now been convinced by the NBA that the Cavs aren't a superteam like the Warriors which will make them big time winners in Vegas when the Warriors are the huge favorites and LeBron is called GOAT non stop on ESPN for the next year.
Lol, you say "former All-stars" like it actually means something. How about two former All-stars and Olympic Gold medalist on the Warriors, in addition to their 4 Allstar starters (two top 5 players in the world)?
The good guy that did the exact same thing as Durant to join DWade(arguably top 3 SG ever who already won a ring as the #1 option) and a 25 ppg scorer in Bosh and other great vets and role players. Only difference is the team had to be put together whereas the team was already together for Durant. But, that was fine. I didn't quite hate the Heat as much as others. It was always a beatable team for the rest of the NBA. What was worse? Was LeBron and the NBA convincing the world that he was doing the "right" thing and "going home" after the Cavs had already secured 3 #1 picks and other lottery picks(and dont tell me about blowing a few bc they were still value for trades) when Miami got old and the Cavs had enough assets to make trades for his next superteam. He bolted the Cavs to only bolt on the Heat again after the Heat got worse and the Cavs got better assets. He's the biggest mercenary there is and Durant would never had done what he did if LeBron didn't set the bar. The best player in the league sets the standard for the other stars in the league and if the best player is just jumping from great team to great team for ring chasing, everyone else has no choice. If the best player flops and whines constantly, the rest of the league will follow. I hate the Warriors, but i hate the Cavs just as much. Neither of them are beatable in a 7 game series unlike the Heat or the Shaq and Kobe Lakers(without the refs should have lost several WCF series). Shaq and Kobe Lakers or The Heat with that LeBron/Wade/Bosh couldn't beat these Cavs or Warriors. The NBA has set up 2 impossible teams but fooled us to think 1 of them is just a team led by LeBron and role players and LeBron will pull off the impossible.
It does mean something. Does Ray Allen become worthless because he was in his late 30s? No. He saved LeBron's legacy.
Bench stacked full of former all star vets and former full time starters is what separated the Celtcs and Lakers from all the other contenders in the 80s. It's the same thing that separates the Cavs and Warriors from everyone else. If you had just the stars surrounded by a bunch of dleaguers or late draft picks, Warriors and Cavs easily become beatable, but the buyouts have ruined the NBA more than anything.
No, LeBron did not do the same thing. In 2010, the Heat won 47 games and were the 5th seed and the Cavs won 61 games which was best in the NBA that season. The Heat lost their first round series 4-1 to the Celtics. The Cavs lost 4-2 to the Celtics in the second round. And as you conceded, LeBron was joining a potential superteam in Miami with Wade and Bosh, but there was a lot of work still left to be done with that roster. They had to assemble a bench with what little capspace they had left and the Celtics were still a force to be reckoned with in the East. Durant left an OKC team that won 55 games and was the 3rd seed to join a Warriors team that won 73 games which was the best mark of all-time. The Thunder lost to the Warriors in the WCF after blowing a 3-1 lead. The Warriors lost to the Cavs in the Finals on a Kyrie 3-pointer in the final minute after blowing a 3-1 lead. And by bailing on the Thunder, Durant crippled the greatest threat to the Warriors in the Western Conference. Sure, the Spurs were still a force to be reckoned with, but they were still decided underdogs to Golden State. LeBron is obviously such a dominant player that switching teams immediately changes the balance of power in the league. We can't blame him for that. But Durant piggybacked off of a team that was already a 73-win juggernaut and came up a single basket short of a 2nd straight title the year prior. He's a great player, but I have no respect for someone who wins a championship that way.
