ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Thunder 4/23/2017 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 4)

lots of coward LOFs, Kevin Martin, and Jeremy Lamb fans lurking and depressed for the 3 consecutive playoff games where harden scored 3r 5, 37, and 44 then like the rats and scum that they are suddenly comes out of the woodwork whining and crying after the rockets are up 3 to 1 just because harden had just a solid game..

 

With the exception of today's game, I've felt Harden has been huge in this series. Yeah he missed a three at the buzzer in game three, but he made some huge shots leading up to that last second three. I think we as fans sometimes expect superstars to be perfect, and that just isn't the way it works. Westbrook made some big threes at the end of today's game, but he missed some really big shots down the stretch as well. Like I said, no one is perfect.

They were solid today. His teammates shot 56%. Westbrick 35%.

Hardens teammates shot 46% (brought way up thanks to NeNe )

Good point. People don't talk about LeBron's help or Steph's help these days. We have a good team. Team won today because they played like a team. Gotta love that. Our best player doesn't have to be on fire for us to win. That's awesome!

 

It's not about being perfect... but it would be nice to see Harden show up in the big time in the playoffs and really take over games and series like top 5 players should be able to do.... he hasn't done that in any series in Houston... he has good games every so often... and real stinkers... inconsistent and leaning more so to the bad.

The disappearing act against Portland... mostly awful against the Clippers... never able to get us more than 1 game against GSW... I mean c'mon... is anyone able to say "remember when Harden took over that game/series and lead us to victory" in the playoffs? I don't recall any

they deserved that one. at one point they will way too asleep and were uninspiring. Sweet Lou, Eric Gordon, and one of the godman gutsiest games I've ever seeen by a rocket Nene.

also harden hit the big one to win the game when it counted. winning player and winning plays like that 18 footer and layup and fast break pass to nene.

if harden's ankle gets better soon then we got this. I love this team

I agree but to be fair he was pretty dominant for the first three games. Hopefully this was just one of those days and he gets back on it the rest of the way.

 

Sometimes the rockets look bad (bored, hungover, whatever) but they never really get blown out during those stretches. At worse they get down 10 or 12.

They look worse than they really are at times. Even at their worst their still scoring
