This is about both what I've seen recently as well as what I'm going to see in the near-ish future.

I recently saw Adam Ant doing the Kings of the Wild Frontier tour. It was one of the most amazing shows I've seen. His voice is still good, but the thing that made the show rock was having two drummers doing the Burundi Beat! It was incredible. Both drummers were amazing, and the female drummer was one of the best live drummers I've seen. Gary Numan, and Billy Idol were in the audience checking out the show as well. Very cool.

Just last night, I saw Gringo Star. They did an amazing job. They had a sweet Rickenbacker guitar that they put to excellent use. Carl Bernstein was in the audience before the show. Maybe he had a connection to one of the opening bands.

The Adam Ant show was so good, that I already have tickets for his Singles tour. I hope and pray the same two drummers will be back. I believe they were actually better than the original or Prince Charming version of the Ants.

I saw Willie at the Rodeo. This is my 3rd time to see him, but there was something different about this show. Kind of felt as if it might be my last chance to see him. :( Trigger sounded as beautiful as ever. Willie is such an underrated guitarist. People don't realize it, but he's playing jazz when he solos.

And laugh all you want, but I'm seeing Lionel Richie on 8/4. 3rd time to see him too. He puts on an AMAZING show All Night Long. The guitarist is a friend of a friend of mine, so last time he was here, we got backstage passes. Didn't get to meet Lionel, but got to meet his band which was really cool. Hopefully we'll get to again this time.
