Psychological addiction and dependency issue maybe, not chemical addiction. You can have withdrawal symptoms from ANYTHING you FEEL you're dependent on. Can be exercise, food, tv, substance, SUPERSTITION, etc. Ex: If an artist feels they're "nothing" & cant be creative without weed, theyre gonna do it with so much at stake. But it can be peanut butter, doing situps, wearing a "lucky charm", etc... The anxiety and discomfort of facing the world without a coping device is greater than the effect of the substance. Thats on the person not the substance. But cuz its a banned one and the person cant function without it, its still a problem for them.
Except he's a better rim protector than Capela. When in shape and motivated... I wouldn't say undoubtedly much worse either. He said he was paying respect with that post.
When will you guys learn? Royce, Dwight, Lawson, Dmo etc If your psyche is not aligned with the team, then it doesn't matter how much talent you have.
Read his comment on Instagram: "It's hilarious to me that no one understands this picture, basically Bogut is my OG...he taught me a lot in Milwaukee...that the big dawg lol and I don't say that often" People are misinterpreting his comment as hate towards Bogut when it's actually respect.
He would be worse than he was 2 years ago. No way he would step in averaging 36/min rates of 12/10 right now
Don't really need him to although that type of rebounding would be very helpful. He can be serviceable by protecting the paint when Capela is getting abused. Nene and Montrezl are not filling that role. Also he is only two years removed at the age of 28 so I don't see how he will be much worse. Rusty? Definitely, but he has the ability to get back to close to where he was by playoffs. The only thing holding him back is himself.
I think that is what people are afraid of Either case, the Rockets management won't be bringing him in.
No... he retired from the NBA, because he DIDN'T WANT TO STOP smoking weed. There is a clear difference here. Sanders could stop any time. He decided he didn't want to. Caffeine is a potential addiction, not weed. There is a difference between mental dependency and addiction. One is a matter of willpower and the other is a genuine problem. Weed can have mental withdrawal symptoms in the sense that you break off a routine you chose to get into. Addiction is something completely different. I am sorry, but calling a mental dependency an addiction is complete hogwash. The same applies to literally anything in life; stamps, peanut butter, watching p*rn and beating off. That is not a matter of addiction. It is a matter of mental willpower. Fact is, any and every single pothead out there can kick the habit cold turkey and only be irritable for a couple of days as their brain gets used to not getting flooded by THC. It's whether or not they choose to, not whether or not they can.
I'm willing to gamble on him if they have no plans to give roster spots to anyone else. But I agree I don't think the Rockets are looking in his direction.
@WojVerticalNBA: RT @ShamsCharania: Former NBA center Larry Sanders and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in serious discussions toward a deal, league sources tell...
lmao CF debates over picking Bogurt or Sandors... meanwhile, they both sign with Championship teams instead of here. Team like us don't have a choice, we take what we got. We don't have a Lebron or 3 All-Stars on this team already to attract FAs.
Morey was asleep on this one, could have scooped Sanders when Bogut signed with Cavs. Smh. Would be surprised of the Rockets end up regretting this one. Think Sanders is going to be Decent to Good.
