How much longer are we going to pretend Clint Capela is a Center?

He's a PF. That gets pushed around by the real big boys of the NBA.

In today´s League? With this coach? With this superstar?

I´ll keep pretending until we have a Center that is taller than 6`10 and can play around 30 minutes a game.

He's still only 22. He'll get stronger as he fully matures.

Clint is fine. Just needs strength. Nothing to see here.

He is a center in a light PF's body. He can't space the floor at all. All he can do is execute the pick and roll consistently. He is a fairly decent rebounder, with the occasional shot block. He doesn't have much upside.

    We need another center.

He's not a star by any means but I think in 2 years when he bulks up a bit more, increases his stamina, gets smarter with fouls and works on his grip strength then he will be ready to be a full time NBA starting center.

That being said, I would willingly sacrifice him for Boogie or players of that stature without blinking.

    Yep

Rockets have no length, no rim-protection, and no rebounders.

Bulls scored 60 points in the paint last night. Teams routinely abuse us in that category.

Capela has developed a nice hook, so credit for that.

He gets pushed around plenty defensively though. I don't recall Yao getting pushed as badly ever.

Clint is a work in progress, but we need stronger defensive bigs around him presently.

Opponents are shooting 69.1% against us at the rim. That's the highest in the Association.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2017.html#all_opponent-stats-base

We've given up more dunks and layups than anybody in the Association including the Lakers.

We give up more points in the paint then anybody but OKC...barely. However it doesn't take our opponents nearly as many possessions to get them. It's like once you penetrate the paint on us, we give up and don't even contest.
