Metal music isn't my main genre, or second, but I respect all good music. I haven't heard their full albums, but these popular tracks are BEASTLY... They have more songs I think are easily listenable.
How do you tell the difference between a good cover band and a shitty cover band? Whether or not they can play Barracuda (correctly).
Heart basically outlasted Rush and they started around the same time...albeit Rush's audience is much larger. Can trace both back to around 1967. 1974-75 is a good start date I think for both bands in reality. I don't think Heart would have lasted if not for their early hits. But, they obviously had the right ladies in play on voice and guitar so it's hard to see anything but success from them in the early days with all that raw talent. I don't know anything really since those hits that was nearly as popular. It's hard to rank them but it would be up there based on their longevity and success. Top 30 is reasonable.
Great 70s rock. I'm in the middle of exploring their early catalog. Listen with headphones. They came out of the gates blazing - first song off of Dreamboat Annie:
Exactly. Their debut album is always a throwback to those mid '70s rock feels. This catchy song from B-side used to be stuck in my head back then.
