Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I could see Capela being out another 3-4 weeks, but to not even be reevaluated til then would be a concern.
My guess is that he was quoting from a statement by Morey the day after the injury, that said Capela "will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks." And the proper term is "cross-dressing toupee-wearing butt-muncher."
12/20 was when they said 4-6 weeks 4 weeks is 1/17....in 11 days. (12 days from when Marv spoke last night) Dude is already out of a cast/boot and doing one legged squats on the healing leg. He will be starting in the Golden State game. That's my bet. I know that sounds like "best case scenario" kind of optimism. But that's the optimistic outlook I had for Beverley's return from his knee injury and I was pretty close. Capela puts on 10 lbs of muscle in his sleep. Dude is young and freaky. He probably has freakish recovery speed too.
This team will be absurd when Capela gets back if Montrezl and Nene can keep up their energy. I can see Nene being put on the back burner when Capela gets back, and cycle him for Montrezl when we face taller, bigger back up bigs.
Yep. It's clear without that pick-and-roll with Capela, we don't have a chance inside scoring. Everyone just camps out on our three point shooters. Montrezl can get up, he just doesn't have the timing and hands that Capela/james have.
Capela is going to rusty until he feels the grind of that first game back. You got to hold your breath on this one.
