I could never understand why so many people live in that area. I drove out there once just to explore (610 to 290 to premium outlets down to highway 6 all the way to i-10 and then back to my house) and I really don't understand that area at all and I've had no reason to go back. I know it's each to their own, but there has to be some legitimate reason why people choose that region. Schools? Cheaper homes? Nicer communities? Obviously their jobs aren't out there because they're taking 290 to get in town (or 99 or hwy 6 to i-10). I'm genuinely curious.
