Any great post player. I really miss the dominant centers. Not including centers. Larry Johnson would be my choice.
Penny Hardaway Grant Hill These were my two favorite non Rockets from my childhood and before the injuries these guys were great. They were poised to take over the league with the Bulls breaking up after 97-98 but then the injuries happened and neither guy was the same. Penny's ability to control the game and Hill's explosiveness were unreal. Pre injuries, Penny was the new age Magic with his size and playing ability. While not as great of a passer or rebounder as Magic was he developed his offensive game much faster than Magic did. And Hill was Pippen with the offense. The only thing he lacked pre injury was a consistent 3 point shot. That's it, he had everything else.
I really wish I could have watched bigO and Dr.J I would love for them to be back and get to witness them play. These two are definitely at the top of my short list. Also some Shawn kemp.
Larry Bird would be pretty entertaining in today's game. Bomb's away. MJ, George Gervin, or Dr J would be fun to watch without hand checking.
Enough pride to knock up a 13 year old girl, and then completely ignore the child his entire life. That's something to REALLY be proud of.....
Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson and Zo The Hornets Connection, 2nd favorite team at that time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992–93_Charlotte_Hornets_season
I didn't know anything about that story, but now my image of him is completely different now that I looked up that story. I would probably be best off not knowing about most athletes, to avoid knowing about all the stuff they got away with or did because of their status. It's bad enough hearing about all the ones that get away with murder, rape, assault, and other crimes. I can't even imagine all the adultery that goes on.
Always liked Mitch Richmond Great shooter, athletism, some handles and post game 3rd best SG during the MJ era
What a phenom Bouges was.. 5'3'' with very good NBA career. Grandmama and Alonzo Heck, currently, Kemba is great to cheer for. True leader.
When Golden State had a mix of Captain Jack (one of my favorite non-Rockets ever), BDiddy (remember when he posterized Ak47?!), JRich (completely underrated his entire career), Corey Maggette, Monta Ellis, Matt Barnes and a promising Anthony Randolph.
