    I see no reason why this team cannot win 50 games. The competition in the West is always toughest, but even as the Mavs and Lakers get tougher, the Jazz and Sonics may fall off. Jeff Van Gundy has implemented a new attitude, the players just need to show more discipline and character. I believe the Rockets can go 51-31 and should make the playoffs.

    Haha...yeah...nobody seems to be that alarmed or worried either!

    I will be satisfied if they make the playoffs...

    Which means they should at least win 45 games this season. Just win more games than Pheonix!

    wow..you guys are so much more optimistic about the Rockets this year than i am. i think they're even more in a rebuilding mode this year than they were last year.

    i hope i'm wrong.

    Looking at our schedule...it is not impossible for the Rocks to win 50 games.

    THe problemo is Dallas and Minnesota and the Lakers will have 70+ wins!

    They will win the games when they score more points than their opponents. And they will lose the games when they score less points than their opponents. Lets just hope they score more points than their opponents in most games.

    6. Rockets - The Rockets are building something special down in the Lone Star State and should be one of the most intriguing teams of 2003-04. Just having the 7-5 Yao Ming would be enough to sell tickets, but Houston also features the dynamite guard duo of Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley, and a new coach in Jeff Van Gundy that should start to bring it all together. Such a foundation should have the team pushing for a return to the playoffs this season, and vying for the West title in two or three years.
