lol is he taunting the nba? first of all hes doing exactly what he criticized harden for then he kicks up after all that motion was done.... smh
I can't believe that NBA hasn't released a statement, fine, suspension, or nothing about this. Draymond must have some compromising photos of Adam Silver.
Is kicking players without the intent of hurting them a big deal even? Just fine him $5,000 or something. I'd like to see more dirty plays.
Mostly agree. I don't think he's kicking so much as flailing. He flails with impunity looking for advantage. If you punish it consistently, he'll fix his form. I disagree though saying he isn't doing it to be dirty. Flailing without concern for any potential negative consequences is dirty. When you have significant contact like that, lack of intent shouldn't matter. Failing to control your body adequately should be punished, whether it's because you're trying to hurt people or because you're too damn clumsy to do otherwise. Both should be unacceptable. But, he's hardly the first guy to do it. Karl Malone was like this, Bruce Bowen, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest a bit. The league has had plenty of opportunities to address the behavior but they've refused to. No reason to expect anything to change for Green. The problem with street justice is that when a player retaliates, the other 4 teammates jump up to protect their man, and then your 4 guys jump in and it's a scrum. Green might get a little penalty for the offending action, but the guy who retaliated gets the big penalty and the 'message' he wanted to send gets muddled. Green sees if he provokes a team enough, they'll do something irrational to hurt their own team. The next team won't want to body slam him now because the league brought the house down on the last guy. And Green won't be deterred, he'll be encouraged to do more. To stop the behavior, it has to be the league bringing punishments consistently that take Green off the court and hurt the team's competitiveness. Then he'd stop. Since the league won't do that, and body slamming him only makes things worse, the best thing is probably to do nothing.
What shocks me is how soft and weak the opposing players act. It doesn't matter whether it is on purpose or not. An opposing player should get in his face and tell him they are going to break his jaw if he ever does it again. At that point, if Draymond talks back and tries to buck up instead of apologizing, whip his ass. Why are there so many 6'8" mental midgets across the NBA? Charles Oakley, Barkley WHERE ARE YOU?
I can see someone on a team that is way behind in the early 4th quarter really blowin up on Draymond if he does this more often. Perhaps towards the end of the season a bad team has a player explode on him in the early portions of the contest to the delite of the rest of the NBA.
He's this generation's Karl Malone. The guy is an absolute punk on and off the court, but the problem is the league does nothing about it because they're toothless, and he knows it.
Seriously.. why does no one talk about how warriors were the first team in history to blow a 3-1 lead, how green is basically playing hockey, and how no one is talking about how curry turns to a little b*tch when he's called for a foul? No mention from fans or ESPN/NBA. But every damn week, there's something on hardens defense.
Here's what I hope happens tonight. Paul George drives to the hoop, gets fouled by someone and inadvertently kicks Draymond in the nuts. Next quarter, Al Jefferson does the same. Let Draymond get up in Al's face. Third quarter, someone else's time. A nut kick per quarter seems like fair justice. The NBA can't punish the Pacers because they haven't punished Green. If the Warriors act out, they'll get punished. Make it happen Morey.
It's honestly baffling that the league lets that ape ruin the perception of the league. Every single time you let your refs act like dumbasses in the face of an obviously dirty play, you are wasting ad dollars. The fact that we had to hand out ref paychecks just to make a rule for him is sad. Those are the kind of players that don't play in the NBA for more than a season. But hey, it's 2016. We should make sure we don't hurt his feelings while he's breaking real player's clavicles.
