Our divisions have always and will always exist (as long as there are differences among humans). The expansion of our divisions have recently been falsely fueled by media that thrives on sensationalism. Right now, you're seeing a LOT more hate and fear from liberals than conservatives have ever shown in this country. When you see people crying about Clinton losing, it shows how little they know about how dirty and sleazy Clinton is. (...and, make no mistake, Trump is, too). When you see liberals rioting, it shows how much they believe the media hype. To heal our divisions... we must realize... It's the one airplane that crashes that makes the headlines (not the thousands that take off and land safely). It's the cop that abuses his authority that makes headlines (not the millions that provide service competently each day). Don't hate blacks because a black man is a criminal. Don't hate cops because a cop abused his authority or made a mistake. The media is deliberately trying to build a war between blacks and police. They do this by create sensationalizing headlines for outliers that don't accurately reflect the big picture. Look beyond what is being fed by the media. Right now, the media is warmongering. As long as we follow it, our divisions will only increase.
Obama's presidency was a turd gift wrapped to the American Public. It won't take much for Trump to undo the mess and he will be more popular as Potus come the 20th. That's what I feel will happen. If he doesn't improve things then I foresee a quick 4 year turn around. He should focus on black poverty and pro women laws to guarantee another 4 years.

I don't see the Republicans blocking roads and causing damage to other people's belongings because there feelings got hurt. It's really disturbing.

Wow... so much ignorance that I don't even know where to start. So to you, the liberal media should not report any negative news regarding police and institutional racism? America is perfect? Then tell me why do inner schools get under funded? Or how Minorities get charged more and are imprisioned longer than those that are white. Or how about gerrymandering in some districts has caused elimination of voting booths in some counties where majority of constituents are black and Latino? America has always been progressive: the creation of social security, bill of rights, elimination of slavery, and the creation of the FDA in the 1920's to eliminate mishandling of food, etc.. And America will continue to be progressive, regardless what you think the news needs to report. In order to address America's division, peoples' concerns need to be heard first. In other words.... show a little empathy.

I hope you're being sarcastic - compared to Trump Hillary was Mary Poppins. The NY Times has been bashing Clinton for over a year - the focus the last 3 weeks were all on Clinton's emails and the press forgot about Trump who is 100x more corrupt than Clinton. It's laughable what you paint here.

It was Trump who was saying the election is rigged. It shouldn't be a surprise or even bothersome that people protest the election that was so rigged like Trump was claiming for months.

And, by the way, the very same crowd that spent 8 years not accepting Bush as President, as well. Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal. ANYONE who said a single thing about Trump's statement, because they already took a stand on accepting elections, should have their signature removed. Which would leave....near zero signatures, I wager.

This is tolerant, how, exactly? She has every right to do so, but it amply demonstrates how intolerant the supposedly tolerant left is. Plus, in general, dissing the President tends to be bad business (ask the Dixie Chicks). Further, if said business goes down, so does said influence...making the stand counterproductive.
