Yeah I mean the Rockets did him so bad they only bought a draft pick and drafted him when his workout video had "bust" labeled all over him and he was free falling into a career in Europe. Is it the Rockets' fault DMO can't be healthy and has a bad back? The Rockets didn't tank his value, DMO tanked his own value by being injured so badly Detroit rescinded their trade proposal for him that would've given us a nice pick. What would giving him PT have done when even with such limited PT he already destroyed his back? It would have just resulted in him getting injured much earlier in his career!

Anderson is healthy that's why he got that 20M contract, DMo is not healthy and nobody else in the NBA wants to pay him the money he wants. Rather than thinking about what has the organization done to make DMo trust them, what exactly has DMo done to earn the trust and $$$ of teams? So far DMo has been injured but has been making salary off of the Rockets, he's already spent half a season last year not playing but being paid his salary nonetheless, and even his rehab is being shouldered by the team. He talked a big game of not being afraid of wolves but won't come out and prove his health by playing the SL, preseason and is now missing games. Eric Gordon could have pouted when he only got offered 15M when other scrubs are getting paid 20M or more, instead he laced them up and is proving all the doubters wrong this season. DMo should stop being a baby, he wants to get paid? Prove he can play, 1 year of great play would've resulted in him making bank next year.

Oh please. We dicked Patrick Patterson around by traded him that early into DMo's rookie year. And we cleared out Marcus Morris for DMo, too. That's two guys who are still NBA starters right now who were in front of the rookie -- not to mention the other rookie TJones. That was our biggest PF logjam since Taylor, Thomas and Griffin.

Where is @Carl Herrera , when you need him. :D

We even had PPatt play in Summer League with him to help get him acquainted. I have photo proof!!!

He wasn't "dicked around." He was brought around just fine. And McHale did a marvelous job of integrating him and Josh into a WCF team. He loves the Rockets, and liked McHale....and McHale helped him a great deal.

Another Leak Theory -- Maybe DMo Actually Gets an Offer Sheet the longer he waits

Nutshell: if Morey's offer is clear, and the market knows about it, logic dictates more likelihood of an offer sheet, especially if the price is dropping after Nov 23rd

Consider this is the first media leak of actual $ amounts offered by Morey. Obviously, BJ leaked for strategic reasons. Maybe by doing so (and the intention) is the market sees a possible range for offer sheets DM will no longer match. Like, $10m was something DM would match before, but not now??

Further, maybe after the Nov 23rd deadline, DMo considers him worth less (since he can't be traded), so other teams will step in with offer sheets to test DMs will to match.

LOL, Patterson, Morris, and Jones are not really good players. Of them only Patterson is truly even a bench quality player. The other two are back of the bench types at best.

Dekker and Harrell aren't as good as Dmo. What's so hard to understand about that?

His leverage is...... If he signs somewhere after the 23rd . . . . . Then Houston can match but not be able to trade him.
    Is that correct?

    Rocket River.
    I don't trust his back.

His back is fine - Dekker had the same surgery, Dwight Howard had it, Anderson had a similar one - people are vastly overating the back thing, and falling for Morey's BS - he did the same thing to Landry when he was a RFA - remember all of the sudden his KNEE was an issue?

If DMo's back was a REAL problem he would not have played last year and in the playoffs......that is a Red Herring, folks.

This is not about his back (well maybe a little bit but that is not the biggest issue) it is about being a RFA under Morey.

You guys should know this is how he operates....Landry, Parsons, Scola - now DMo...this is his MO.

Oh, are you impressed by his 18 points on 15.4 shots per game? I guess chucking is what does it for some people.

Marcus was basically outplaying Melo a couple of nights ago, he's playing pretty well with the Pistons.

Yeah, and i'm not sure the whole argument about D.Mo tradability is that important at this point, sure, having his contract tradable this season would be a plus, but even if not, he would still be tradable in the summer so, to me this is not that big of a deal to make Morey not match an eventual offer sheet.

Ssssoooooo. Why was the trade rescinded?
Why no one else offering him big money?

Is Dwight the same as before his back? Dekker is younger and we never say him pre back in the nba. Anderson who?

What did you call him? Back of the bench at best? LOL A back of the bench combo forward who shoots 35% from 3 and plays great D. If only we had one right now.
Hillarious that you seem to believe that SVG would allow just anyone to chuck shots.
