Anyone who's interested to come over would not sign that kind of contract. Wonder if he simply have no interest to compete in NBA(why did he enter the draft?) or just not interested in Rockets.

    Scola-like Dominance?

    ...or Prigioni-like Adequacy?

yeah i dont think Morey has stopped..just for this season...and i'm almost sure he said he was hopeful for next yr recrntly, didn't he?

He'd have to sign on for about 10 mill a year to cancel things out, right? that's not absurd anymore, considering present day deals. Llull did say he wouldn't say never to the NBa, after the OKC game, so he hasn't shut the door. I think he's too competitive to not want to come over at some point, and while he can still play well.

    No.

See my notes on previous page. Rockets have to cover his $13.5m buyout as a Signing Bonus. Signing Bonuses are limited to 15% of total contract and count against the cap (but can be spread out). That means:

With a 15% cap on signing bonuses, we have to sign him for $86m fully-guaranteed to cover the buyout. That's $17m/yr for 5 yrs. $21.5m/yr for 4yrs.

Sure, there's that, OR we could say that he is chasing Llull like a GM who has his rights on his books as an asset.

How about this: We get Yao Ming to buy him out to be a Shark (since China probably has no cap complexities on buyouts like the NBA), and then they cut him so we can sign him with no more buyout. Sorta like Morey using Henke at Philly to do his bidding.

Someone feel free to edit that image to have Yao Ming and Morey in it.

Still interested in bringing him over or trading him. There's no reason for Morey to say anything besides "Llull is gonna be amazing!"

Just how much money does Morey owe you personally that every single one of your f***ing posts takes some kind of shot at him?

    Every. Single. One.

It's basically Llull himself telling the media to stop asking him about the Rockets or the NBA. He's Madrid for life.

If it is any consolation, Morey didn't use a pick on Llull. We bought him from Denver for cash -- $2.25 million. The wasted pick was Jermaine Taylor a few slots prior, but Morey flipped him for a Kings second round pick a couple yrs later. Also, Morey did pick Budinger later in the same draft. And he end up getting Beverley from the draft eventually ... Marcus Thornton and Jon Brockman, too. :)

    He loved 2009
