Of course, but McNair felt he had to do something after Schaub imploded. Wish he fired Rick instead.

Wade Phillips deserves most of the credit for the Broncos Super Bowl. Not taking anything away from Kubiak, but he wasn't the main reason they got there.

Having said that, he's still a solid coach. The Ravens offense was pretty good when Kubiak was the OC.

Too early to say which coach is better though.

RAC also deserves most of the credit for the last two 9-7 years, considering the offense has sucked and the defense has been near elite.

Nope. Kubiak may have gotten better after this experience but he's still a worse coach than O'Brien. He can thank Wade Phillips for the defense and John Elway for building a team. Kubiak would not have acquired half the guys Elway did.

Kubiak acquired Foster, Hopkins, Schaub, Watt, Brown, Brooks, Cushing, DeMeco, Jonathan Joseph and Mercilus. That offense was very good when everyone was healthy.

Bill Obrien has hit on Clowney and Fuller so far. He also traded 5 picks for Nix and Strong and paid big money to Osweiler and Lamar Miller.

We will see how Kubiak does going forward. Lets just say he was lucky last year that Peyton Manning was essentially the offensive head coach while Wade Phillips took over the defense. Kubiak didn't really do much other than ride a hot defense and a coach on the field Manning.

An utterly pointless thread... if only for the reason that under no circumstances was Kubiak, and the rest of the coaching staff, going to survive 2-14.

Gary learned from it, Wade has learned from it, and if BOB is not going to work out long term here... he'll probably learn from it as well.

[can of worms] What if Jack Pardee hadn't been the coach of the 90's Oilers?

If we compare BOB and Kubiak on the offensive end most every year he was here we were in the top half of the league in offense. With BOB we have been in the bottom half.

I suppose it's better to be a fan of a team that is 2-1 with fans overreacting and pretending the sky is falling than it it so be a fan of a team that's 1-1 with fans who are overreacting by thinking they are going to take over the world....only for them to lose again the next week.

Kubiak is a hell of a kid and a hell of a coach. Yes. he is a better coach NOW, because like everyone that becomes a great one, he had to rise above adversity and find his path to glory, seeing his close comrades losing arms, lisfrancs and ACLs in the battlefield, nearly took him out.
He battled through like what B.O.B had to battle through the past 2 years.

I don't think the social media generation has the patience to wait out one week let alone 10 seasons of grueling lessons. Personally I love the kubiak offense more but that's just my personal taste. B.O.B has been tremendous with the revolving doors at qb, no offense to revolving doors.
B.O.B is barely in his baby steps as a coach.

2009, ryan moats runs close to a score to put houston back in the game. however, ryan fumbles. instead of running another play before the 2 minute warning, kubiak just stands back. Colts challenge get awarded ball.

I wasn't a big Kubes fan when he was here but I appreciate him now that he is gone. He is a better offensive coach than O'Brien no doubt. The offense under O'Brien has really been a struggle and hard and frustrating to watch most of the time.

Anybody else catch the Broncos pregame? Kubes said something to the effect that it was nice being able to go into the GM's office knowing he knows wtf he's doing.
