It doesn't even matter, with Capela's fouling rate and Nene's age and history we will look at 2 centers playing around 15-20 minutes anyway. The rest will go to D-Mo / whomever with small ball. We should just enjoy Nene will compete at least for that starting spot, that he's looking good and will push Capela to become better. Also finally a center who has serious post game, so refreshing. Yes I'm 100% convinced Nene is better than Dwight in a lot of facets of the game.
We should take these stats with a grain of salt. Olympic play isn't indicative of his skills on the NBA court. We need to assess his abilities while playing with the team. Take Scola for example. He's an excellent international player and has stats that blow everyone away. However, his stats in the NBA isn't reflective of that.
The skill that I like about Nene is he can put the ball on the floor and attack his defender with moves. That will open up the offense more. He doesn't have to be on the block to get the ball and then make a move. Howard could only operate within 5 ft of the rim. Outside of that he was no threat at all.
http://houston.cbslocal.com/2016/07/20/nene-hilario-is-just-what-the-houston-rockets-need/ This may have been posted already, but I like that a healthy Nene will bolster this Dantoni offense with good passing from the post and a reasonable mid-range game. It doesn't hurt that he's very efficient within 5'.
