With a sweep, Astros' season record can surge to .500 against .500+ opponents... minus the Rangers results, of course.
This will be the series Bregman gets HR #1. He has been living in that warning track in some of the spacious ballparks we have been playing at, the friends confines of MMP will deliver in this series.
This is there chance to make up ground. They get games against the NL where they've had success, plus the Orioles followed by the Rays and As to close out the month at home (where they typically beat the poor teams). 9-6 should be a realistic bar to try to clear to close out the month and gets them a winning August which schedule wise is far tougher than September should be.
On 8/15/04, Astros began a 36-10 run to win NL Wild Card, which included a franchise-record 18-game win streak at home. With 44 games left, I'm looking forward to a similar ending. Season's not over yet. Time to hunker down and take care of business. Starts with the self-proclaimed best (but actually worst) fans in baseball. I strongly encourage a twitter follow (or at least check their feed) of @BestFansStLouis
settle down, dallas or we're going to be doing a rain dance again, which probably won't work this time.
Oh Dallas, why are you The Suck this season? It all started when he called out the players for not practicing the right way and showing up to work like they should. In the end, he was the biggest failure of the season. I wish that game against the Twins didnt get rained out so that it would be even more evident how much he has failed this season. Really nothing he can do for the rest of the season to make up for how he's pitched like a #5 pitcher this year.
