Good. Always thought he's be an excellent fit for Houston; D'Antoni makes him a better fit. Unfortunately not good enough, needed two serious upgrades to counter losing Dwight. Hopefully something else pans out, otherwise this is just upgrading from a 7 seed to a 6 seed.
Of course some people would complain. But there's a growing chorus of fans on here who want a full rebuild. Long-term, a move like this makes no sense. All this does is allow the Rockets to hover around .500 barring injuries. We've suffered through that crap long enough in the post-title era(which is nearly all the time Les has owned this team). Either we want a contender or we want a team that occasionally makes the playoffs and almost always loses in the first round. It's clear Les is content with the latter. Well f-ck him then. I ain't spending a dime on this franchise until someone with higher aspirations takes over.
I hold out hope that he will continue to improve from his neck surgery. Last year was sort of a rehab year for him.
For those blaming Les and D'Antoni for this move, do you not remember Morey being after Anderson for years? He's been linked to the Rockets numerous times in the past. Our gm loves him. He has been looking for a legit stretch 4 for quite a while now.
This is it. He just fits the systems and is probably a better value than Dwight. I dont think its a bad trade, just stay healthy please.
Glad something got done but I am sure more to come. Anderson has an outside game and least will be a consistent outside threat this season.
Maybe not you but Ive seen threads screaming at DM for not signing Ish Smith or Jeremy Lin. Anderson is a much much better player then either of those guys.
Maybe we can also resign DMO to another 18 mil and out of the two of them combined get a full season of games worth.
Say Ma'am it's better than given a borderline star PG 30 million a year or a broke down SF (Parsons) 23.5 million a year. hahahaha Pick your poison is what I call it.
