It really does not matter who is coach. We are not beating those teams in a 7 game series with this current roster. Rockets only have one guy that we can rely on to get buckets. That is not going to cut it in the playoffs. Improving the talent on the roster is just as, if not, more important than getting the perfect coach.

D'Antoni had Nash who loved passing the ball. The Rockets have Harden who hates passing the ball.

Thread is laugh out loud funny. Only way to get better is to magically add two superstars caliber players overnight.

"Rockets do not have the right personnel to run D'Antoni's system"?

Look at those Suns teams. They had Nash, Stoudemire, Marion, Barbosa, Bell and Diaw. By 'right personnel' do you mean 'extremely offensively stacked'?

I don't think any team in the NBA has the 'right personnel' to run D'Antoni's system... except maybe Golden State? Which is why D'Antoni is such a joke. He relies on his gimmicky system. He tries to force his players to adapt to his (outdated and washed up) system instead of adapting his system to the strengths of his players.

I would love to be proven wrong. I would so love for the Rockets to win another championship no matter who their coach or their players are. I just want to win. I hate it when the Rockets lose.

I would love to be proven wrong. But it sure seems like this washed up coach is the worst possible bet for that happening.

Yes, great coaches maximize the talents of the personnel they have, not try to force square pegs into round holes because they don't fit their system. This is the same guy who benched Pau Gasol for Earl Clark because it fit his "system" better.
