When you think about it though, it's not entirely surprising. The last Rockets head coaches have been, McHale, Adelman, Van Gundy. All big names with major flaws in their coaching.
We just need some bombshell to secretly record Les saying racist things or lure Pringles into a sex scandal.
I'm just relieved we finally picked a coach....strangely enough it's gets me wondering? Why for the love of God did we not keep Rick the Ruler Adelman? That stubborn old man was the best coach in the Morey era. Oh well Go rockets?

One interesting thing is that the Rockets will now have 2 of the 3 most influential people in how the NBA is today. D'Antoni is the reason why offenses play the way they do today. Morey is the reason why teams play the way they do today and GM's use analytics the way they do today. The third guy is Tom Thibodeau, who is the reason why teams play defense the way they do today. And interestingly enough, Thobodeau has also coached in Houston when he was an assistant with JVG. So the 3 most influential people in basketball have all come through Houston.
I think this marks the era where we are like franchises such as NOLA, Charlotte, Milwaukee, and other very mediocre teams that stay mediocre for decades.
Has to because the team has only one midrange shooter in Beasley. Harden will be outraged that he has to move inside the 3pt line without the ball in Pringles offense
