Howard leads the league in post and paint touches by a large margin http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/possessions/?sort=PAINT_TOUCHES&dir=1 EDIT: the games played on that site is very low, so either that's an error or it's an incomplete data set EDIT2: nm it defaults to playoff stats (might explain our loss to GS though) for regular season Dwight is 1st in post touches and 2nd in paint touches behind Marc Gasol Spoiler
Dwight comes across as so immature, fake and like such a incredible back stabbing douche bag who tries to put on a smile. He's actually one of the most arrogant pieces of crap in the NBA. When he doesn't get his way he pouts and says other are disrespecting him. Magic, Stan, lakers, Kobe were all right. Soft fake douche bag with no skills yet thinks he's a elite big man.
Lowest FGA because fouls dont count as FGA. Trams would simply foul him as soon as he caught the ball, if he caught it at all. Had he at least been a .500 FT shooter this season, that could have changed.
Dwert needs to stop going behind ppl's back to ask for bigger roles. Seems like he's always talking to management with his problems instead of just communicating with his teammates and coaches, no wonder his teammates don't trust him as a leader.
I bought into Dwight when we signed him and disregarded what the naysayers said. Man were they right. This is now the third team he's done this exact thing to and will eventually do it to whatever team he signs with this summer. I feel bad for the next fan base that will have to go through the Dwight Howard experience.
Harden: "Okay, first my girlfriend's nutjob ex-husband OD's on herbal Viagra at a whorehouse and she runs to his side, and now I have to deal with this idiot every day at work? FML." <BR>
@OST: Ha, that was the entire interview. Good riddance to this guy. Go fool one more team/fan base. :
I do not think he will be foolin anyone. He will get his dough because he is a capable big man, former Allstar and still a 13 and 10 guy He can still perform in the playoffs in the right environment but the West is too tough Might just join the Hawks
Dwight Howard Q&A: Superman returns? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15596878/dwight-howard-qa-superman-returns New Howard interview
I don't believe him about the Morey conversation...even if what Morey said was correct, I don't think Morey would say ""no we don't want you to get touches"." Maybe that's how Dwight interpreted it later on, but Morey's not stupid enough to just instantly piss off the highest paid player on the team.
Honestly, maybe a version of this happened but I don't see Morey flat out telling Dwight Howard, someone Morey wanted to bring to Houston since 2011, that "we don't want you to be involved." Maybe Howard interpreted what Morey said to mean that but I highly doubt Morey would say that to his biggest FA acquisition and highest paid player on the team those exact words. It is "interesting" that Dwight is now complaining about not getting touches and admitting to being disinterested to the media after the season is over than during the season when changes could have been made. During the season Dwight Howard kept talking about playing together for the common goal of winning and not letting individual things affect how you play on the court, and now he wants to talk about not getting touches and how that affected his play on the court. Its pretty hypocritical, honestly. It is also "interesting" that Dwight is complaining about touches when he lead the league in post touches this season with 3 more post touches (9.8 per game) than the next highest (6.8 per game). He got touches, he just didn't convert those touches into points. Its one thing to complain about touches but to complain about not getting touches when you actually did (but just didn't convert them) is just silly. Honestly, I like Dwight. He has done a lot of good for the community since he has gotten here and was very effective at times on the court but the writing is on the wall, especially if he thinks he can demand max money this offseason. While Dwight is still a good player, he is no where near the player he once was in Orlando and never really was at any time in his Rocket's career save the 2014 Playoffs. He just isn't as good as he once was and I think everyone but him realizes it, unfortunately.
I didn't want Dwight back, but considering we will veey likely strike out on Horford, Durant, Whiteside, Conley, and Batum, that could be bad news if he isn't a fall back option.
I want to apologize to Durant and Kobe for my comments after they called him "soft" during games. You guys were 100% correct, I'll take my crow raw. This is flat out embarrassing. Give him his participation trophy and pray to whatever that he moves the hell on. Guy has the brain of a 10 year old.
