I am fairly sure that Les fired McHale, not Morey.

I'm sad about this, if true. Morey was far from perfect, but he's still an upper-echelon GM. Not to mention, coaches who also handle GM duties generally isn't a hugely successful set-up.

 

Coaches don't handle GM stuff, the GM reports to them.

We already did the JVG thing years ago and found out he only coaches defense but no offense! We need players and a coach who want to play offense and defense.

 

You think Les would still pick McHale if Morey is not GM?
Apparently not. No team in NBA would hire Mchall at that time.

 

I think the logic is this...

JVG only coaches defense
Harden only plays offense

Put them together...

tear a hole in space time.

Win championships.

Not throwing those insiders under the bus, but why meet with Blatt if Morey is a goner...

 

why meet with blatt, smith and hornceck IF we are going to hire one of JVG or Vogel?

Oh I know because we will end up with another **** heel coach that will run Morey all star game no defense bull**** next year.. got it.

 

Maybe Les told Morey, 'if JVG says says yes, then I'll give him total control and you're out. But, if he says no, then we'll just get some dude like Hornacek and you can stay. Why don't you come to the Hornacek interview just in case.'
