One can get a better guage of a candidate based on the people around him or her. This desperation selection of Carly Fiorina is but one of a number of scary people he has chosen: Foreign Affairs advisor Frank Gaffney, famous for his extreme statements about President Obama and Clinton's aide as having connections with the Muslim Brotherhood. Economy advisor Phil Gramm, who pushed deregulation that contributed to the financial crisis and played a key role in expanding the influence of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (which his wife led) to weaken the FTC and pushed deregulations that helped create the Enron scandal. And now Carly Fiorina. One heartbeat away. No experience in government on either domestic nor foreign affairs. She is an outsider, but only the result of two failed political campaigns. She points to her great experience as HP CEO, saving 80,000 jobs, but those jobs must only be the remaining 80,000 people that weren't among the 30,000 people that lost jobs under her "leadership." Her time at HP almost killed that company. If these are indicative of the people Cruz would surround himself as President... he has to be kept far, far away...
It doesn't matter. Cruz doesn't have a snow balls chance in hell to win the general election. The Republican party is in dire trouble and its in a "damned if you, damned if you dont" position. The Republicans have abandoned their core beliefs and have let the tea party run rampant. If they shaft Trump and go against the will of the people, Trump will run as independent. Not only will Trump have a good chance of beating Cruz as an independent, the Republicans will signal they have completely abandoned a great size of their base. What this translates to is future democrat voters.
Masculinity matters to many Republican voters. Ted Cruz isn't very masculine Couple that with Cruz running on losing the popular vote but back dooring the nomination and you have a candidate that isn't that appealing. Cruz is toast.... Effiminate losers are not appealing to Republicans. That doesn't even count how gone deaf Cruz is letting Trump control the narrative of the election.
not likely. at this point it's too late for trump to get on many ballots as an independent including places like texas...
What's "hands down, case closed, truly and irretrievably over" is the Cruz campaign. So what happens today? He chooses Carly Fiorina as his running mate. This is the first time I can remember a dead horse kicking himself! mojo, can you "man up" and admit announcing Fiorina was an utterly pathetic move by your hero? This should be good.
No, not hardly. Cruz wanted to reset the news cycle away from the results of the elections last night. He did that. Now it is on to Indiana.
He didn't reset anything. Fiorina won't affect the amount of media attention Trump gets the next several days and she won't do a thing for him (at least in a positive way) in Indiana. Faithful sheep like you are pathetic.
If Cruz has planned to run for president for a while why didn't he take better care of himself? Watch your diet a little and perhaps do a few situps and stomach exercises.
Resetting the news cycle > being shackled with a joke as a running mate? Seriously, I was impressed by some of Ted's moves, but this one is just crazy, unless he plans to fire her. Mojo, she is *seriously* terrible and dumb. Just ask anyone who worked higher up in HP out here.
I think you can quit watching out actually. His move was to gain 20 lbs of blubber and name Carly as his VP. If you survived the last month, you're good to go and can quit watching out.
The Cruz Campaign is great tactically but not great at all strategically. Plus, there's still the issue that Cruz himself and his campaign still believe that a majority of people in the US are as conservative as he is. That belief was prevalent when I worked for the campaign a few years ago as well. I don't think picking Fiorina was a good decision at all. First of all, she appeals to many of the same segments that Cruz himself appeals to with only a few minor exceptions. Second, she doesn't motivate any moderates to support Cruz. Some of these people definitely wouldn't vote for Hillary or Trump, but they also still don't have a good reason to vote for Cruz. Now the benefits of Fiorina: She has consistently criticized Trump for longer than anyone else and can highlight the issues Trump has with female voters. Finally, her business experience and outsider status are a toss up, but I think Trump can use them against her because she was ineffective at HP, to put it kindly.
Did he just go full stupid? Firiona? Really? Deserves to lose, I almost kinda got to the point of potentially rooting for him.
