Yea I don't know what to say to comment like those. An 8 seed team barely making the playoffs (while boasting 2 players that are the best at their position) is going to be a considerably more attractive FA destination. That loaded lakers team with Dwight and Kobe (who have the benefit of being called the Lakers and in L.A btw...) ....how attractive were they? The front office lackeys have built such a ****ty basketball culture convincing people that whoring out for FA every year is going to win a ring. What people don't understand is that they are too inept to draft and too greedy to tank and go into the (-) for even a season.
harden already did his shimmy dance tonite so we don't need the playoffs now we already goin to sizzla
Mavs are in a peculiar position tomorrow. I'm sure they'd love to lay down and keep the Rockets out of the playoffs but if they lose they have to play San Antonio in a must win game. Spurs will be resting a lot of guys but you just know that they will be a tough challenge.
Great point. This Mavs loss tonight really helped our chances. Now the Mavs really have to win vs the Jazz so as not to risk their position. And probably avoid as well the Spurs.
Mavs will also be motivated to be 7th instead of 8th won't they? I doubt they want to play the media's love affair.
Keep in mind the Kings are in a fierce battle for the 7th pick with four other teams. They could get anywhere from 7-11th pick. So, they have a lot of tanking incentive. And will be away, so won't have the last home game festivities going on. which fueled their win vs OKC, last game. Might be tough to out tank them.
Can the Mavs still catch Memphis? If so, they have a ton of motivation tomorrow night. Winning keeps their hopes alive of being 6th and facing OKC vs being 7th and dealing with the Spurs. And it's still possible they could wind up 8th against Golden State. Hell, they could even miss the playoffs entirely. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we and Utah win out, and Dallas loses its remaining games, wouldn't they finish 9th? Long story less long, the Mavs will try to win tomorrow. The problem is I don't see the Spurs trying very hard on Wednesday since they'll have nothing to play for. Basically if you want the Rockets in the playoffs, you better pray tomorrow night we beat the T'Wolves and the Mavs beat the Jazz.
