We should trade him and Dwight.

The run started two games before that...after JBB benched all the starters 4 minutes into the game against Phoenix

After that benching, James started the run you mention.

    Coincidence?

imo, it's more interesting to post the stats since JBB benched the entire starting 5 only four minutes into the game against PHO....added

of course, the W/L record is not impressive.

Pretty funny how easily the emotionally driven narratives are torn down.

I don't see how that stat is useful if it doesn't account for teammates on the floor?

Obviously Dwight Ariza and Bev are our best defenders, and if Harden plays more minutes with them then the team rating while he plays will be better

Can we compare the all star game defense against the kids to the now infamous gargoyle defense on Derozan, lol. It's gotten to epic proportions. Elliot showing the world how he does not bend at the knees to this.

Look, I'm a Harden supporter, but this is getting ridiculous. I mean 12 year old kids are joking about his defense on twitter.

That's clearly not true. Beverley and Dwight start the 2nd quarters while James sits. And it proves Harden isn't the defensive liability you claim he is. He's been playing serviceable and occasionally, even great defense since the All-Star break.

The narrative has been "4 on 5 out there! Harden ruining the entire defense!"

Shouldn't the numbers show the defense being worse with him on the court if that is true?

Those blaming Harden's defense in the 2nd half.... He had 4 fouls midway through the third. The team has no chance to win if Harden doesn't play so he was trying to avoid fouls.
As a result, Dwight ended up fouling out which interestingly enough, you can argue helped the Rockets more because Clint is more mobile and quicker to react and played a critical role with those blocks.
Honestly, i dont know why casey didnt hack-a-capella in the 2:09 or so that he came in.
Also, kudos to JB for putting in Clint who has been struggling instead of dmo/smoove/harrell/tj as it turned out to be the right move.

Yeah keep putting up 40 and 14 assist for DD's "seasoned eyeballs". BTW I just tried to see the box score and first thing that popped up was a harden bad defense vine from ESPN. I could make one for every "superstar" in this league.

When our starters come out typically the other teams do as well. So bench players on bench players should still be somewhat of an apples to apples comparison

Pretty darn bounce back win tonight. I only wish they would play the way they played in the 2nd hal for the entire game.

Great win. Now let's string together at least 5-10 in a row.

    Another win minus TJones.

I have nothing against him as a person.
    I'm sure he's a great guy.

But as a basketball player, a liability.

I'd be curious to know our record when he Starts vs DNP.

To put James's game tonight into perspective.

Only twice in NBA history has a player put up 40 and 17 with 1 or less turnovers.

    Chris Paul and Allen Iverson...

The Beard brought us back and closed the game easily. Against a pretty decent team too.
