More like Howard made a mistake and wasted 3 years with Houston. Dwight has been good for Houston. Dwight has been their best playoff performer. Dwight took a chance on Houston. Dwight's a good guy & gets a bad rap. I will wish him well. BUT! you knew that was coming But I will not shed a tear if/when he leaves. Good guy, will probably be overpaid, not a second option and not sure I'd even want him as my third option. Kevin McHale said it best about Howard: he is not the problem nor the solution. Yup. Prior to tonight, since all-star break: 35 minutes 17.3 points 11.8 rebounds 37-61(.607) FG 30-68(.441) FT
You would get upset and checkout too if your teammates didn't pass you the ball , or jacked 3s before you could even get in rebound position in the paint
So, you admit you are making a mockery of a GARM tradition, whether you are the first or not. And you are mad.
Fair enough. Guess I was a little bit mad when I made this thread. Still I think when your star player gives this kind of effort and gets away with it, you get frustrated as a fan. I would have more respect for Dwight if he just went nuts and started to play by himself if he truly feels guys are not using him properly, not passing when he's open etc. Not mail it in!
The fans are all too unfair on Dwight. The guy brings it, he was the biggest difference maker the last post season.
who cares about last yr, and all the yrs b4 that. this is a "what have you done for me LATELY" country. so people get amazed by harden's amazing stats night in night out. he reminds the fans he can score every night. he knows this too well.
Actually he sort of stays in one place and pushes people off to get boards, even his own teammates. He knows that he has to keep his totals up to sucker another team into a Max deal. Honestly if we had a strong coach, he would be able to get more out of Dwight, but with our org's enabling philosophy - thanks Rox.....we get a Lazy Dwight who is trying to get his numbers no matter what the consequence. I mean our PAINT defense is lousy and he is the anchor in there. How are his blocked shot numbers this year? DD
So, you admit that you know it's a tradition here on CFnet used to respect ex Rockets players, but you could care less. Screw internet forums, right? Or are you just mad, right now?
Why the **** are we starting appreciation threads for players who are very much still part of the Rockets?
I don't know that we can blame his paint defense when the perimeter defense is so porous. His blocks are actually about the same over the last 5 years I actually don't care if we keep Dwight that much. Though if we pair him with Durant that would be nice
