Lies and the Lying Liars who tell them - Al Franken and Its not about the Bike - Lance Armstrong both damn good books. Franken is funny.
Mine are all re-reads right now, for some reason...some Livy, The God of Small Things, by Arundhati Roy, and HMS Surprise, by O'Brian.
I just finished reading Stephen Kings "Pet Semetray" last week. Im reading Dean Koontz "Strange Highways" right now.
I just had a friend convince me that I needed to read the Horry Potter series. I went through all five books in no time flat and now I have to wait a year before book six comes out. Grrrr...
The Two Faces of Islam by S.Schwartz The Remnant by T.LaHaye & J.B. Jenkins (Left Behind series) and, of course... there's always a tech manual laying around RR
You cannot be serious- John McEnroe I am looking for this book on religion that was transcribed but written by an autistic child.
The 2003 Updated Intelligent Investor. One of the best books ever written, though I don't particularly like Jason Zweig's commentary. Written by the father of modern investing, Benjamin Graham.
I'd reading Glory by Nabokov. I also have the Qu'ran sitting next to my bed, but I guess I can't say I'm really reading it right now.
I can't freaking finish "John Adams"!!! which by the way, is really an interesting read...but i just haven't had much time for reading lately. haven't MADE enough time for it, i should say.
Dune: The Butlerian Jihad (by Frank Herbert's less-talented, simple-minded son, Brian) Take the Terminator franchise, replace the name "Skynet" with "Omnius," throw in a few characters with famous Dune last names (Harkonnen, Atreides, etc.), and you have this book. Average at best (but entertaining). Someone please tell Brian that just because his father was a genius, it doesn't make him one... no matter how many Dune novels he writes... I also recently finished Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson. Pretty damn good, but not up to the pure genius level of his earlier work, Snow Crash.
