Dmo was a nice player when healthy, but I don't get all the angst over this trade. Dude hasn't suited up for us in over a year, and has what appears to be a chronic health issue. A protected first round pick is about right for his market value... in fact, we are lucky that SVG is so high on him, or else I'm not even sure we could have swung that trade.
extremely overrated by many on this board. had a good spurt last year in by far his best time here but ultimately went down with a major injury. This back injury was a lot worse than people believe. Good luck to Dmo. Hopefully he can get his health back and get back into playing.
I really appreciated his low post game and his defensive rotations. He was becoming a better shooter too. The Rockets must have been really concerned about his back injury. I hope he will get healthy and play well for the Pistons.
Thank you for everything, D-Mo! I'll miss you. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-JrmjdOPuWc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7HpUCAVQoJY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Man, I remember when D-Mo was talking about how there was nothing to do in Houston and that all the buildings in downtown were just office buildings and not clubs. Going from that to saying Houston is his home is heartbreaking. **** this trade. Also, Thornton has quietly kept us in ball games this whole year, when he got playing time. I hate to lose him as well. WTF is murrney doing?
My wife got me a DMO jersey for Christmas this year. I will still continue to where it with pride. This is the one time that I want Morey to be wrong. I hope that Dmo has a long a successful NBA career.
Best post game we have had since Hakeem....we have an idiotic front office that doesn't want to pay him, and a coach that can't figure out how to properly utilize him. Good luck DMo - you were the hardest working guy on the team - and improved more than anyone else, looking forward to watching you blossom in Detroit. DD
