Don't know what the hell is up with Hinkie. You can't be on perpetual rebuild. NO ONE will want to ever play for the franchise.

 

Hinkle is like a casual 2k player.

Go through half a season, get bored, decide to start with a new team.

 

I've defended hinkie in the past but if this is real he should be fired immediately

 

Well half the 76ers fan base hates him. They want Noel over Okafor.

 

I disagree. He should sell on Okafor asap. (He will get a great haul back for him.).
Okafor for Cj Mcollum and Crabbe.

 

He's part of the Kobe trade right?

 

Okafor is incompatible with the rest of their cornerstones apart from MAYBBEEE Embiid (if embiid ends up being a HOF caliber prospect).
He requires great shooters in all other positions and a unicorn PF.
The game has passed by centers like Okafor. And Hinkie should sell him fast, before the rest of the league who hasn't catched up , realises it.

Embiid has followed the path of Greg Oden...and most likely will.
Okafor is interesting, but Hinkie should be fired immediately if he does move him...Feel bad for phili fans that have had to put up with this...

I can't believe the whole fan base doesn't hate him. Up to this point he has been possibly the worst GM in the history of the league. They have possibly one building block on the team in Okafor and they are talking about trading him. As if it's possible, Sam's team won only 19 games in his 1st season and has done nothing but get worse every year.

His system might still turn into something special but up to this point it has been beyond bad and absolutely bad for the league and his fan base. For a team that has drafted near the top of the draft for the last several years, the 76ers are oddly void of talent of any kind including raw potential.

They're being extremely smart. They know that if they divulge any information before it happens, and it ends up falling through, most everyone on this site will go ape **** crazy and accuse them of not being insiders.

They will have plenty of stories to tell this time tomorrow. What almost happened, what was never close to happening, etc.

 

Okafor can't play with Noel. Okafor will also not be able to play with Saric.
And will also not be able to play next to Simmons if they get him.

He's a horrible defence, bad rebounding low post C.
He can get to perhaps just bellow average D. But he's short and won't be ever a good rim protector. And the probabillity of him ever going from what he is now to average D is very low.

He needs shooters 1-4 and a rim protecting shot blocking pf like Ibaka or Porzingis or Towns next to him.
Saric is not a great defender and certainly not a rim protector. Noel can't shoot and has shown no signs he will ever develop any kind of jumpshot.
Simmons can't shoot and I doubt he will be a rim protecting pf.

Trade him now while his value is very high before his flaws are further illuminated. Or trade him at draft night.

I'm not sorry for Philly fans , because most of them are fanaticals who are in love with the "process" and they want to tank every godamn year.
