If the Rockets do get a pt guard, then he has to be able to do what he does best. He can't just defer to Harden every time down the court. This is the problem with Ty. He is not playing his game and just looking for Harden too much.

ATL knows that their current roster won't get them out of the East. They are a good team like usual, but not enough to get to the Finals. They know it and we all know it.

There's a reason SAC wants to get rid of him, he can't buy a shot these days. I mean he's been real bad.

Maybe he's a change of scenery guy? What would he add to having Thornton though? Can't have both out at the same time...

Tim Hardaway Jr. is one guy who can be readily had and fills a need. Dont let this seasons numbers fool you, he is a good three point shooter and competent on defense. If you can find a way to dump Brewer and fill his role with Hardaway Jr. That's a win. He can also put it on the floor and isn't a complete liability when handling the rock. He's been hard pressed for playing time because he's buried behind Korver, Bazemore and Sfelosha.

Would rather have Glen Robinson III. Way under the radar right now. Fits what we do.

Can't say I know too much about Robinson, will suss soon.

But you agree with my premise right? I wouldn't say Hardaway Jr. is on the radar relatively speaking. But he would be a sneaky good get and would be a solid contributor. A bench mob that contains:

    Lawson (until he is moved)
    Hardaway Jr.
    Smoove
    Capela
    Thornton

    Is pretty solid.

What are your thoughts PF Tyler Johnson from Miami, Bballholic? He seems like a nice young athletic 3&D, SG in a PG's body type of player, putting up Beverley like numbers. He, along with Delly seem like PG's that could get some interest from us this off season.

Yes they wouldnt do it because of fit. A trade must not only be fair in value but also makes sense in fit. In this case a third team should get involved.
I dont like Brickotic as a target anyway.Very bad defender, very incosistent and streaky shooter. Better keep dmo and see if he can get better.

Pek had a achilles replacement or whatever surgery as last resort last season. He has started playing for a few minutes now.
Best case for minny they convince him to medically retire. He will get his money but he wont count on their cap.

Waste of time. His handle is very limited. Would be a mistake to get him

We don't need to trade for any big time players. What we need are 3 point marksmen. Our offense is built around being able to nail 3 pointers, yet we have no pure 3 point shooters. Terry is too old to be relied upon as a 3 point killer. Somebody mentioned Bellinelli, perfect. Spot up 3 point killers will open up everything. Finding them is the hard part.

We have thornton and terry but the defense they provide makes them expanable....i agree completely but that person should atleast be average defensively , or have handles so he can drive and kick or drive and finish

we cant rely on 3 pt specialists because usuallly those players are just **** at the other end.

Batum, Galo, Crowder ....all on expriing contracts and i can see the hornets or denver letting their guy go if we gave good compensation. (Capela)

Rockets trade: Dwight, Ariza, DMo, Dekker, Harrel, cash
Hawks trade: Teague, Horford, Splitter, Bazemore

Never going to happen, and neither team gets remarkably better, but would be interesting.

    Lineup:
PG: Teague / PBev / Lawson
    SG: Harden / Brewer
SF: Bazemore / KJ (biggest hole)
PF: Horford / Smith / TJones
    C: Capela / Splitter

Follow it up with a trade moving Lawson/TJones somewhere, preferably for a 3&D small forward.

I never said it was "ludicrous." I said I couldn't get behind his trade scenario. There is a difference.

Would Hornets take the offer knowing this season pretty much a wash. Plus they give suns there first rd pick.

Next year Healthy Bledsoe, Gordan, Jones and A.Davis would make a sleek roster. plus lawson is opting out of his contract, so you could get more in free agency.

    T.Evans/Beverly
    Harden
    Ariza
    R.Anderson
    Howard

How about we get Rudy Gay and Jeff Teague?

Lawson and Jones for Rudy Gay
    &
Brewer and Picks/Young Players for Teague

IDK if that would be enough for Teague, but it's worth a phone call, right? Maybe Picks/Young Players go to SAC and Jones goes to ATL...
