It's a strange feeling not being at all angry after this loss. This was going to be a tough win ESPECIALLY after that drubbing the Warriors handed the Spurs. Rockets played well until Spurs started Hacking. A little more discipline from the Rockets and I think this game was much MUCH closer.
Make each player make 15 free throws in a row before they can board the plane. I don't care if we only bring Harden, Terry, Thornton, Ariza to OKC. (Howard might make the plane since he has been shooting great from the foul line).
WOW... Do you really watch the tame? Rockets played well until Spurs started Hacking??? Yeah they started hacking from 1st quarter. Great post.
Remember when Jones had monster games against SAS in 2014? He had games of 22/11 and 18/12 against the Spurs. Miss that.
I by no means think Mchale is a great XO coach but I loved it when stuff started go awry he would just tell Harden to give it to Dwight.
He does some things very well. But he has certain beliefs about basketball such as coaching not mattering or that you can win simply by shooting a lot of threes and attacking the rim that have been clearly disproven this season. If he doesn't show this summer that he's learned from these mistakes, then he shouldn't be the GM anymore.
Of course I don't know what is going on behind the scenes. I'm not an insider. But what I do know is what I see/read. And Les and Morey have said multiple times when they hired JB that they were hiring him for the season. Basically, they threw away this season, one of the last couple Dwight has in is prime and one of Harden's prime years as well, on a rookie head coach. With some of the guys available and how early we fired McHale, this really was unacceptable. Tell me if you were a head coach looking for a head coaching gig, what could be much better than taking over a team that went to the WCF the previous season and had basically all of their key players back on the roster? Regardless of what anyone tells you, this was a good destination for any prospective head coach. But we went with the rookie. I'm curious though, how did Morey get screwed by GMs? What did I miss?
My post was still valid. Rockets played well until the Spurs started Hacking. Gregg Pop saw how well the Rockets were playing and shut it down early.
