I can't speak for you swamp-dwellers, but in Central Texas it is supposed to be a colder and wetter Jan/Feb/March. I'm looking at a Xmas sunrise of 50ish, and a high of 75 that afternoon. I'll take it, it's a Hawaiian shirt weekend.
Getting really hammered with rain out here in NoCal, which is great. Lake Tahoe gained two inches in two days, which is amazing. That's billions of gallons of water.
it would be a shame if the almond crops or the golf courses or whatever had to rely on their own rainfall, and not siphoning off of other watersheds. You ****ers have destroyed the lower Colorado river basin and the Sea of Cortez. But hey, everyone loves Las Vegas!
this is B.S what did we do to the gods to not deserve at least a 50 degree christmas eve. this is ridonk!
SciGuy Eric Berger no longer writes for the Chronicle but he still blogs about Houston weather. http://spacecityweather.com/warm-this-week-yes-but-winter-proper-arrives-by-monday/
You will see. The mind slips with age. For now: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8GqGNmcjWDY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The office I was in today was exceptionally cold, so I threw on my hoodie in additional to the long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirt I have on. I nearly died of heat exhaustion walking out to my car in the parking lot.
Seventy-degree winter weather.... disgusting! But at least 50 degree highs are apparently on the way the following week.
