DMO will give us post up threat and better spacing. Hope he can defend better than last year

I never understood why so many thought he was a bad defender. He is a mediocre rebounder, and he has some difficulty guarding strond players in the low post (however he was better at it than our other option). But he is a great team defender, and he protecs the rim pretty good (Like Asik with contesting not blocking). IMHO he is a pretty good defender, just not a good rebounder. I think he Is ideal next to a Dwight or Capela.

His defense dropped off a lot in the last month, his months were something like this, ok, good, very good, good, awful, dnp, but he said he was carrying that injury for some time as well which would probably explain the weird drop off.

DMo is looking ripped... I wonder if he used HGH to help recover after the injury doctors didn't clear him until now because they needed HGH to completely leave his system?

I'm not sure why you're saying he was a bad defender last year?

Maybe I just comprehended what you said wrong.

But D-Mo is a very good positional defender. Think Delly from the Cavs but 7 foot.

The athleticism isn't crazy. The numbers aren't eye-popping.

But if you know what you're looking for on the defensive end - it can be beautiful.

At least that's the impression I got from D-Mo last year.

I had no qualms whatsoever with his defense.

If D-Mo can turn around this sinking ship they'll have to give him whatever contract he wants.

I would have been a lot more excited about this a month ago. I love D-mo, and he addresses a lot of our pressing needs at the 4.

But this team is so damn broken now, I don't think he can possibly be enough. If this team does turn it around when he comes back, he's gonna be a god around here.

He's coming back from back surgery. Don't get your expectations too high. Happy to have him back though.

Come on J Siz, you're better than that! A quarter of the way into the season, 1 game out of the playoffs, 4 games out of the 3rd seed and we're getting an integral part of last season's offense & defense back. Will he be returning at that level? No! He will get us into the playoffs and we will be a force to recon with by playoff time.

D-Mo in Lithuanian media today (sorry for my English):

Asked on when he's playing, he answered:

"It will be surprise. But i talked with my doctor and I know the particular game when I'll play. Everything should be developing to positive direction. I can only say that I must have at least few practices before stepping to the court. The feel that rhythm because I didn't play 5 on 5 yet."

"I'm following my team all the time. I know that it's lacking, what it has to be added. I will try to bring those things."

"Injury changed me and tough me a lot. I'm looking differently now at nutrition, rest and everything. It was hard not only mentally, but physically as well."
